Before pictures - Hide the Children

Yo guys...I'm usually a pretty skinny guy. About 2 months ago I was highly motivated, and I was goin to the gym 3-4 times a week, had a 12% bf going, most of that 6-pack showing, everythings great. Then, finals hit. I was stressing so much I didn't go to the gym, and didn't bother eating nutritiously. Well, the pattern has continued, and since then, I've transformed my body...I've gone to the gym, on average, once a week, and eat whatever

Stop eating and run every day until you have to stop to puke.
 
No it's in pounds..

funny part is, I'm REALLY skinny everywhere except my gut. I think you can see that from the small arms....

Also, I don't have a car yet, so I can only get to the gym with my parents. However, I'm getting my car in a few weeks, so I will be trying to get to the gym 4-5 times a week...maybe try a 1 bodypart a day split.

I know I sound like a stupid teenager making excuses, but...well, yeah.
 
youre not holding much muscle mass really, may i ask what sort of workout, diet etc you were on previous to your exams?

not to get ahead of myself, but imo you need to grow a bit more before you start worrying too much about bf% etc etc (ok dont let it get out of control, but still) and as im sure you know, that takes training and consistency.

Ouch...you guys hurt my soul. :worried:

I'll post up pics in a few months of my progress..hopefully, I will be a changed man. Cuz right now, I'm just a skinny fatty, and I know it, and I know I'm not working hard enough.
 
You ever visit the diet board? I think you could find some really helpful information there. You should be able to lose that gut and get those newbie gains again since you've been out of the gym for a while. Progress will come quickly.
 
The interesting thing is, before I came to EF, I frequented another fitness board for a year, where I learned lots of things about diet. Then I came here, and solidified that "knowledge". I've read pretty much every thread in the nutrition section of this forum with over 20 replies. So I'd say I'm pretty knowledgable about nutrition...it's just that I don't have the willpower to apply that knowledge. I love to eat sweets n shit

As we all know ppl have different opinions about nutrition, heres what I've been able to gather and hopefully apply soon:


I'm shootin for somewhere around 2300 cals with a 40pro/35cal/25fat split...lots of water...try to eat more carbs earlier in the day and more fat later in the day...spread the cals out through 5-7 meals a day...eat at least every 3.5 hrs...stay away from F/C meals....nutrient timing....workout "window"....good fats before bedtime such as some cottage cheese, eggs, all natural PB, etc....HIIT "guerilla cardio" 2 days a week on an empty stomach (I know I know...that's just how I like to do it)...
 
how old are you?

I woud concentrate on buliding some musclemass worry about the guy later!!! Train hard it takes time, but time is on our side
