I'm not sure if your commands have passed on the word, but they are now adding THG and Prohormones (Andro, etc) to the random drug tests. As it stands now, it is going to be a random WITHIN the random. This DOES NOT INCLUDE STEROIDS! The test is too expensive, and the Navy doesn't have the facilities to test for these (they send to UCLA or Syracuse if I remember correctly). They will do a steroid test if they have what they deem as probable cause (20 lb mass gain in a month, i.e.).

MAKE SURE that you go to your command, admit that you used the products BEFORE the ban took place, and get a Page 13 in your military record. This is BY FAR the easiest way to make sure you don't get popped if test positive.

I am in the Navy, and just heard this from a corpseman today. I am not sure about other branches. If I find out any more details, I will add them here.

The corpsman is doing all of the correspondence for his Chief (E7), who is the medical department head. I just verified the info with him. I don't understand what the difference is between the tests. Just wanted to pass on what I had heard. Good idea to take everything with a grain of salt, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared either.

Drug testing is a department of defense. The same standards apply to all service members. I was a BOSS (basic opportunities for single soldiers) rep. in the Army. One of the common issues were drug testing. Being the guys in the barracks always got tested before the people who live off post or in housing. The soldiers in the barracks complained how it wasn't fair So they went over the manual. You can find military doctorine online and educate yourself on military procedures for drug testing. Specifically steroid testing. Just go to google or another search engine.

At the commands that I've been to, all I've seen is when someone pops on a drug test, they just get an administrative discharge (dishonorable). I think they go to captain's mast (i think that's the same as an article 15), maybe, but there is no court marshal. Just pop and 3 days later you're out.

I personally am in the air force and there are always army and marine guys in the gym because we have much nicer facilities. Some of these guys are enormous and obviously not natural. It is common knowledge that it is looked over in the marines and army. Like it was already stated, why wouldnt you want a bunch of aggressive monsters defending our country. As long as you;re not an asshole they won't test you. As far as the Air Force goes they are much more strict on drug policies. It also varies base to base. Testing positive will result in a court martial and jail time. I know 2 guys who were doing hard labor for 10 months for testing positive for rec drugs. I would like to be able to juice but I live on base and im too paranoid about having anything in my room.

This used to be true in the AF, you pop positive your out. About 1 1/2 months ago I was reading the base paper. There were 4 airman that tested positive for weed and all they got was an article 15 and about 15 days of losing pay and one also had 10 days of extra duties. I turned around and asked one of the Msgt's that was in the office what that was all about. He just said times are changing, this is the new air force. I think the AF goes through it's stages with what they are going to do if you test positive.

you will be tested for rec drugs only. it is important to except that although policies may be army wide, it does not mean they are enforced that way. rules and reg's are so different from base to base yu would be really suprised. at some bases the chain of command might chapter you out after you piss hot once. were i'm at i have seen people piss hot 4 times in less than a year and i stil see those people at work every day. i know people who do it on purpose and still can't get out but the war has a lot to do with it, also the militarys issues with retention.

I have never had a problem with being tested in the Amry or the Air Force(I was in the AF back in the day). If they are looking at you because you look suspicious it is normally due to an attitude change. If you are flipping out on people all of a sudden, then they look at your physique. You have to understand, almost all of the command staff have no idea about steroids or any side effects such as water bloat. The test has to be commander authorized, and nobody else in the unit. Most commanders wouldnt even bother, because if you go down to medical, pass the test, they have to worry about the soldier/sailor/Airman/Marine going to the IG and fillign out a complaint against them. 2 make a long story short, they dont give a fuck, as long as you are not roid raging. However, I take an annual flight physical every May. The physical is very indepth. I make sure 2 be OFF cycle for the physical every year. I dont want one of the Doc's to get the idea I could be on steroids. Most are/think they are educated about steroids. One of them gave my friend 20 questions over a 30 pound increase. Incase anybody is wondering, IM not big 5'11'' 223. However I have some friends in the military that compete, all heavyweight, and get pretty fucking large in the off season. Hope this eases the min dof anybody in the DoD that is juicing. Dont be a piece of shit, and they wont have a reason to try to kick you out!!

If enlistment quotas are so great then why the drop in standards to get in, why are they bringing back people who have been out for years? This is a subject I am extremely knowledgeable on. I've read tons of tm's, fm's, ar's, and anything else I could get my hands on. Why are retention bonus's the highest they've ever been. Why have the standards for the elite forces dropped? I got a buddy who just got commissioned, he's getting assigned to 82nd and he meets up with his guys in theatre in Iraq. He's suppose to be a 19kilo but he was previously enlisted as 11mike so they figured fuck him put him on a rope and send his ass to Iraq. He still has Ranger school, air assault, airborne, and then he goes to Iraq. It's crazy shit. He's going to be one tired mofo thats for sure.

I worked at a recruiting station for work study in high school. Recruiters have a quota they have to meet other wise their quarterly review will be shitty. There is a few people like jelfa who have no fucking idea what they are talking about. You have to do some stupid shit to get tested. They have to single you out. If they do single you out and you test neg. then you could file an E/O report and they'd get hemmed up. I've seen 1 dude get tested. He kicked the shit out of a private is the only reason why they tested him.

this is absolutly correct...ive met a few recruiter in my day while i have been in...their quota is extremly stressed by their command or NCOIC....if he wants 1 or two people per month you're going to get an ass chewing....if you dont speak to every person you walk by while your on duty..they give you shit...its lose lose situation for recruiter...thats why they dont give you as much info as you wished they did when you signed up.

Every Military service except for the National Guard is and will keep on meeting their quotas. After 9/11 there was a huge surge in enlistments that is still going on today. Nobody except for a few Dem politicians (and they only did that to fool ignorant people like yourself into voting for them because they thought if a Draft were mentioned some people would assume it was the Repubs mentioning it) and a few left wing nuts are talking about a draft. A draft will NOT happen in the next 50yrs. So, my friend, you are talking aout of your ass as much as the other guy.

I am also Active Army (14 years and still serving) and have witnessed many different actions being taken for individuals who have pissed hot. Like many of the other post's have stated, if you are liked the possibility of a lesser punishment is likely. If you are not liked, the possibility of you receiving the max punishment is more than likely. As for being tested for steroids, I have never seen it. I don't mean it doesn't happen though.

If enlistment quotas are so great then why the drop in standards to get in, why are they bringing back people who have been out for years? This is a subject I am extremely knowledgeable on. I've read tons of tm's, fm's, ar's, and anything else I could get my hands on. Why are retention bonus's the highest they've ever been. Why have the standards for the elite forces dropped? I've seen some fat week individuals get accepted for SFAS and go to their Q courses. Knowledge is power my friend so I built up quite an arsenal to deal with retards like yourself. Air force is actually reducing it's active duty by over 12,000 Airman. They either have to crosstrain into a different job that is low maned, get out of the service or they can cross over into the Army. The reserve squadrons on base where I am at are deactivating but are still being tasked to fly missions like crazy so it might as well be like they are still activated.

IRR Marines are activated every year. Whether we are at war or not. I spent 12+ yrs in the Marine Corps and have been out for about a year now. IRR Marines fill gaps for any MOS that is in need of experienced, prior service men, usually Reserve Unit MOS fields. You and the other guy can't use activating the IRR as your proof of the US Military needing people. It is BECAUSE of the IRR that the Military doesn't need a draft and will never be hurting for people for the next 30+ yrs. I don't believe you two even know what the IRR is. It's not like they activate 1,000's of people. Certain Units activate a few men/women and then the news hears about it and makes the public believe there have been hundreds of people called up. I also believe that is where you two get your info from...the news.



BTW- IRR is INDIVIDUAL Ready Reserve...read the individual part and look that word up if needed.
