AS x cardio

I was reading in a thread about the concern of doing cardio while in a bulking cycle. In MHO, if you choose to do bulking/cutting( there is always the"stay lean year round" option)and are afraid that cardio will reduce your lean mass gains, there are some issues to consider:
- Energy required for light to moderate training ( not our case ) is provided by fatty acids, plasma glucose and muscular glicogen( rate 50% to 50 % fatty/ glic ).
- neoglucogenesis from deamination happens mostly on heavy and/ or prolongued training - that includes resistance and/or cardio when it's intense.
- Protein will break down to supply glucogenic Aas,that being BCAAs, glutamine and Aspartate, mostly. If your glicogenic reserves are Ok and you consume a lot of this anti-catabolic Aas,your muscle won't be broken to supply energy.
- Before a heavy training or even cardio, consumption of 10 g glutamine along with 1500 mg Bcaas will prevent muscle breakdown .
- I don't think, for all that reasons, that cardio should be stopped during a bulk cycle.
Mostly, this info comes from Guyton, 2000 and Mcardle's exercise physiology.
