Watch Pumping Iron. The scene where Arnie and Ed Corney ard doing squats. Ed's are decent. Arnold's are bad because he leans forward, and goes like 1/3 of the way down!!!

Haha. He's still the man though.

Back in the day his legs were on par, but they didnt emphasize legs as much as they do now. But to actually put articles in modern magazines that have ANYTHING to do with Arnold and legs is fucking retarded. Arnold was the man back in the day, he basically brought bodybuilding into the mainstream more, but Arnold had weak points for sure. His delts, forearms and quads were all weak points.

I think Ed has better form than Arnie because Ed is about 5'7 and Arnold is 6'2. I know I lean fwd a lil and I'm close to 6'5. Even the once great mod Spatts couldn't get my form perfectly upright. Infact, I injured my knee that way. Tall guys will have a little lean. It hasn't hurt my developement any, I started with 21inch thighs and now well over 34. I think I'll keep my knee healthy, stay away from a$$ to ground and keep a lil leaning fwd. Now if you are an ankle biter, thats a whole other story, get your @$$ in that rack and go up and down like a piston! LOL :p

As for his developement, ugly tree trunks weren't in style then. Athletic thighs with huge calf developement was the ideal. Infact the whole bbing world was about building the Greek ideal back then. I hope this answer helps.

Using wraps for 315 was pretty pathetic tho. I suppose if squatting e3d like he said in his book that would explain that. I always assumed his routine in the book was bullshit to throw others off. I mean maybe twice a week, but come on, 3 times. Thats a bit much.

From "Education Of A Bodybuilder"?
I seem to remember (I might be wrong) that Arnold did a 3 day split, twice a week, with Sundays off. Twice a week is a bit much IMO.
Yes, Arnold being taller than average might explain the forward lean.
