The first key to tackling spyware is
1) Never take it personally. Those jackasses do this for fun and for money
2) Run Ad Aware (free from
www.downloads.com just type 'ad aware' in the search box and it will take you to the link. download the latest 1.06 personal edition - completely free - update your definition files after installation and do a full system scan with even the low risk boxes checked.
3) Keep your virus definitions up to date
4) lastly, but most importantly, STOP SURFING PORN WEBSITES F()()!!!
LOL....
A lot of these antispyware programs like ad aware come with an option u have to pay for which will monitor system in "live" mode so when visiting crack sites, warez sites, porn sites, etc, it will stop them from being downloaded and ran on your computer. I deal with this stuff a lot since I repair computers as a side job. I see spyware and Virus problems as being the #1 issue with people today, outside of hardware issues. You have to make sure that virus program is up to date and you scan your computer atleast once a week for spyware. If you visit those sites mentioned above, run it on a nightly visit. They are notorius for doing crap like that. Maybe in a pm i can go into greater detail if you want on how to manually get rid of one if your program can't get rid of it for you. It's not 2 difficult, just time consuming. Hope that helps..
