black mambas are native to africa , not south america , and even so bite to humans from black mambas are rare.StickFigure said:piranahs are actually fairly unaggressive when it comes to prey larger than themselves, unless the prey is hurt and bleeding. There was actually an episode of Wild Boyz on MTV with Steve-o and Chris Pontious where they both were dunked into a tank with about 30 piranahs. The piranahs didn't even try and take a nibble.
Anacondas, Black Mambas (sp), and crocs would be a much greater threat.

Piranhas actually won't bother you unless you splash around a lot. I've seen people float down it w/o being bitten.AAP said:what could be worse than piranahas?

Good luck buddy.

NJjuice22 said:piranhas are pussies..i had a 125 gallon tank with 20 of them...i would put my hand in there and smack them and they would run to the other side...if your not bleeding..its rare they will atack you.
and yes i know about all the types..you got pygo's and serra's....pygo's are school fish that account for most of the attacks...serra's just nip the fins of other fish.

1- Humans are too large for most of the predators in the Amazon.
2- The creatures there don't see humans as food but are rather scared of us.
3- Any confused river creatures who MIGHT think he is food on any level will be put off by his wet suit.
