Man dude I use to that too. I did one in central texas one time that was one the hardest terrain I have ever ridden on. Huge hills steep down hills, ponds, creeks, mud, sand everything. Dang, that was fun. I didn't even finish I ran out of gas before me and my dad got to our gas stash.

I would still do it if my knee was not messed up. I still have about 5 bikes.

I'm good at most sports and play NCAA rugby but, don't laugh, I seem to excel way above the rest in ............. softball.

Now I know this sport is easy for pretty much everyone but tonight I had a guy offer me 50$ to come play in a tournament this weekend. I'm not trying to brag about something like this and I feel like a jackass even saying it but I can pretty much hit a softball to the point where it would be out of any major league ball bark 2 or 3 times a game. Most people can't hit a ball out of a 300 ft softball field if their life depended on it, yet I can jack the shit over the lights.

I've heard Jim Rome's takes on softball players and they are funny as hell. He basically makes fun of anyone who takes softball seriously. I don't take it seriously, the game has pretty much become a joke to me because its so easy. But if I can make money at something so easy then maybe I should.

Someone told me a couple weeks back that I could "easily" get sponsored by Easton or Worth and make thousands of dollars by playing in tournaments because I'm "only" 22 and big.

Ok well, this is my "sport" that I seem to be awesome at but I can't and don't want to brag about it because its recreational softball .

Maybe this is why I play Rugby, people are usually impressed when I tell them.

If you are good at "recreational" softball you are right is nothing to brag about. But if you can play in the "Major" and "A" divisions of USSSA then it is ok to brag. If you are hitting the shit over the lights then you could probably play at that level. Although USSSA and ASA, which you are probably playing now aren't the same thing or even close. Dave Henderson has a team that plays in the "A" division USSSA tournaments. Do a search on the net about USSSA teams........ the leaders hit .800 or better and are hitting an HR every 1.5 to 2 AB's.

I have a buddy that makes between $20 - $30k per yr playing in tourneys all over the country. Most of the guys played college ball and a lot of them are ex pro players. I played on a team 3 years ago with Ozzie Virgil, talk about bringing up the past. Good dude but damn what a tight ass.

Rome doesn't know nearly as much as he thinks he does about ball. Don't take it to seriously.......if you do it won't be "fun" anymore.

I am curious ......what level are you playing at?
I get walked a minimum of 2 times a night and I mean they don't even throw a pitch. If you were hitting bombs like that, the leagues I play in you would be getting walked every time there was a base open. I got walked one time with the fuckin bases juiced.....pitcher was a pussy and I told him so. What the hell is that..........if you are scared get a dog.

lol, yea I get walked on my 3rd or 4th at at bat usually.

They intentionally walk me, the pitcher just rolls the ball to the catcher 3 times.

I play at different levels. On weekends I usually play top tourney's with 5 home run limits and a bunch of huge dudes playing for a cash prize.

During the week I play bullshit leagues with my college friends. The thing that sucks about these leagues is the homerun limit, usually there is just one, or 3 if we can talk the other team into it. I really see no point in playing when there are no homeruns allowed, pisses me off.

The cool thing about these shitty leagues is that nobody really knows me and there is always a huge shock after the first pitch ends up 350 feet away. I'm not out there every night so they usually don't know to walk me until after my 2nd at bat.

I just bought the new gold C555 15 inch shell. The bat is fucking ridiculous, ball just shoots off it. I would recommend it.
