My teeth are fine but I have small gaps on the side of my front teeth. It's not that big of a problem, but I've noticed that most people have perfect teeth and I want mine to be that way also.

If I had to get bracers I wouldn't even bother but is there nightime mouth peices that will pull the teeth together?

I'm also a smoker so I was thinking of getting some over-the-counter teeth whitener to get these things pearly white:D

anyone know anything about this stuff? I'm thinking of going to an orthodontist while I'm still under my parents insurance policy.

I got a tooth whitener today. Crest makes it. It's application reminds me of whiteout. Lets see if it makes them whiter.

nice...let me know. How much did it cost also?

IMO the white-out crap doesnt seem to work well..

The tape-over-your teeth whitener seems to work better for me..

How old are you? I'm with an HMO and they won't pay for my braces because I'm over 18. It will cost me about $3,000 to get it done. Maybe when I get a 'real' job, I will have better coverage. Also, cost varies depending on where you live.

Whether or not you will have to wear headgear with your braces depends upon how crooked your teeth are. You'll really have to see the orthodontist about that. If you're worried about how you will look, you might consider "Invisalign," those clear, removable braces. But they cost twice as much as regular braces and are only for people with minor alignment problems.

all in all though i'd call an orthodontist or something. they will have info on what you can do. i don't know if you need full braces for 2 teeth. you can probably just get some kind of resin filling.
