my friend hooked me up with a job at a pizza parlour hes working at , as a prep cook. i havent done it before , or worked in a kitchen for that matter... so how is it? i am actually looking forward to working because im working with a friend and there are no moronic customers to deal with or standing around for hours on end doing nothing.

my brother works at a hole in the wall pizza shop, its pretty laid back and you can eat all the pizza you want, (which he got sick of pretty quick even after many many different combinations). lots of drinking once it closes down

I used to be a "Chef" at a very upscale Restaurant in Plymouth

I don't know how it compares to prepping for a pizza shop - but "prepping" is where EVERYONE starts.

You may find out that you like the cooking environment

I HATED it and was "out" when I was 19.

Worked at The Original Italian Pizza as a prep cook for a year after I graduated from HS and on breaks while I was in college. It was fun. . .very friggin hectic sometimes. . .you learn to be able to grab hold of hot things with your bare hands (your hands get pretty tough after a while) because there just isn't time for potholders and shit.

sounds good. this is a pizza parlour too. i was hired recently as a cook for a chocolate shop, just like melting and mixing chocolate, but this job was closer and my friend works there so i left the chocolate job.

those pizza ovens are treacherous! you will have many burns all over your forearms and hands. i worked in the food service industry for years and years throughout high school and college. pizzas are easy and fun to make. and yummy. just make sure they dont put sugar in their pizza sauce.

I worked as a pizza cook before. It was fun, I was behind the scenes and didn't have to talk to customers really. I could fuck around with shit too and no one would know.
