Anyone ever ruptured your achilles tendon?

Lumberg

So I was playing soccer...someone passed me the ball and I was controlling it and I felt someone kick me in the left achilles. I went down like a sack of bricks.

The thing was, no one was near me. That was about two hours ago and now my calf hurts like heck and I can't clutch my car (I drive a manual).

I'm hoping against hope it's not ruptured and it's just a calf muscle tear or anything. But the whole feeling like someone kicked me even though no one was around is a classic sign.

Bueller?

I'm sure you can duct tape some mechanism to shift with the clutch if need be, just look at your air dam!
Shit.... just duct tape you tendon bro

my friend tore his, i can best describe it as a few strands of that tendon/muscle just coil right up to your calf muscle

he needed surgery (obvi) and took a long time to recover, he's still not the same

be ready for some nice leg atrophy, aka one leg will be mad skinnier than the other

if the dude ruptured his achilles, which will take 6 months or more to fully recover from, i'm sure he's not too concerned with his leg atrophing

yeah it would ball up and you would not be able to move. and i guess the sound of it snapping is like a shotgun.

i ripped mine in 7th grade. it didnt actually tear all the way. horrible horrible pain.

I could actually use some atrophy in my legs, I do yoga now and my big meaty thighs and calves kind of get in the way of some of my poses, I haven't trained legs in months and months. I had been running and jumping rope though.
