Any vegetarians here?

Animal proteins are not needed and should be eaten in moderation. Not because of chol issues, but because meat is just not a super healthy food. It's acid forming and the gut is not a fan of the meats ;-)

I ate half a left-over Cajun rib-eye and some sauteed Brussels-sprouts for lunch, now I don't feel so well.

I agree that we over-consume meat by a horrible margin, but we do need animal proteins.

I've heard the argument that the missing/under-represented proteins can be found from other sources, but that's just another form of trying to go around mother nature's system.
 
so vegetarians should switch to a saturated fat diet to improve their cholesterol huh?

Did you read the dam artical? A lot of humans issues with food is how much we process and manufacturer. Most animals now a days are manufactured so from the get go the meat isn't good given grains it was never suppose to eat it changes the cholesterol profile and structure of the meat.

Plunkey, sure it's true! Vegetarians are alive and well (when doing vegetarian eating right), they rarely get sick, rarely get colon cancer, rarely get cancers.
Just because other animals eat meat, does not mean we are meant to eat it. There are many vegan animals. Our gut does not want meat,

we need animal proteins for what exactly? like you said you can combine different plant proteins to get complete amino acid profiles... is using condoms just another form of going around mother natures system?

Yes but if you read the artical we are talking about very specific saturated fats from grass feed beef etc. I know from personal experience I function a million times better eating meat. I am healthier and in better shape then I ever was as a vegitarian. And yes John Meadows a bodybuilder... last I looked this was elite fitness the steroid and BODYBUILDING mega site. Not the vegans kumbaya emu circle jerk site.

I grew up on a farm horses dogs cats all cool never ever eat umm. Pigs are nasty ass creature but goddam bacon taste good. Cows are actually pretty cool but steak taste amazing. Chickens and turkeys are annoying as all dam hell but they taste great.

This actually goes along with anything that's cooked. Studies have found that our bodies release WBC's, our main line of defense, every time we eat anything cooked. Our bodies apparently see it as an intruder. I lasted one day on an all raw diet, that shit was hard...fuck so am I

I cannot eat too many raw foods either, not sure if the gut sees cooked food as an intruder, but our stomach acids are designed a certain way and in today's environment and with the low quality foods that are consumed, the gut (ph in the stomach) is off.
One of the major things I see and I am sure MD's see as well is gallbladder removals in people under 30 yrs old.


The rule of thumb in Naturopathic Healing/ Holistic healing is "Strengthen the gut first, re-inoculate the gut and get the intestines working properly. The gut is the control center of the entire body"
