Any secrets to overhead squats?

That certainly does help Spatts.

Its really just a practice work, inless you have godly amount of flexibility then you will probably not reach below // your first couple of sessions. Just practice and give it some time.

I tend to keep my balance better if I think about pulling the bar apart with my hands, it keeps everything just a little tighter.

But otherwise... practice makes perfect.

I think that there are secrets...an nobody is telling me.

Breaking parallel is challenging - I can get there, but I feel off balance. I did notice keeping the bar behind you helps. I'll have to try the pulling the bar apart approach too.

rotate elbows outwards, pull the bar apart and lock down the shoudlers.

warmup with shoulder rotations and dislocates with a wooden staff or bands.

just takes practise, as the brain just isn't used to moving in that position. wide stance and oly shoes help a lot.

Thanks, I am going to try these next week. I will keep this in mind.

Hmmm...I may try these tomorrow. Haven't done them in a while. Shoot...I may try then with the log just so I can get a few good laugh on tape of my stinking log press...lol.
