Any reason not to throw in raw eggs with your protein drink?

From another thread. I don't know the answer to the question he poses, but I'm sure someone does.

as hot as that sounds, when you cook the egg, it "fucks up" (scientific term) the binding protein in the egg and it no longer leeches it from your system.

so aside from salmonella, there are more reasons not to eat eggs raw.

i don't know man....even though its a longshot, you know salmonella will FUCK YOU UP! say bye-bye to most of your gains. just not worth the risk to me.
 
pastuerized egg whites are an awesome compliment to a protien shake, and there's no horrible taste. It comes in a milk container and isnt very expensive
 
Take it from someone who had saminilla 1 in 10000 isn't worth it. Thats like holding up a golf club in a thunderstorm, theres a small chance of lightning striking but theres no benefit from it anyway. Just hardboil the eggs.
 
Raw eggs contain a protein binding agent called chaleze, also raw eggs contain an anti vitimin that destroys biotin in your system. Salmonela is a bitch to why take the chance.
 
1 in 10,000 is correct done by a study under the USDA. The numbers may be decreasing somewhat now that there is vaccinations for the chickens but to me it is still not worth it. I too had Salmonella years ago from under cook chicken meat. Never again will I risk having that again. Go with the already mantioned pastuerized eggs.
 
Salmonella, buddy. And Hepatitis. If you don't want to get really sick, do not eat raw eggs or meats.
 
ive gotten salmonella poisining and it is not worth the 1 in 10,000 chance your taking... and whats the point of adding a few egg whites? i mean 3 egg whites is only about 6-8 grams of protein, just not worth it in my opinion..
