Alright I am pretty excited. I have decided to go back to school and play football. I will be 24 yrs old when I go back. I have been training really hard and U was curious about some things. Whart are the odds of 24 yr old going back and doing well. Also what kind of speed drills woul;d be best. Lastly, I have about a year and a half until I go back and I would like to drop about 30 lbs. I am not fat about 14% bf but I way 255 and would like to gain some quickness. Should I just go ahead and bulkk this winter and then cut down or start cutting now so I know I will be where I want to be by the time it is time to start playing. Also can I get a copy of a workout from someone if they dont mind for specifically focusing on football.

I figured I am young and I ddont want to look back and thjink I could have been. A little unfinished busines.

i play college ball and we have guys on our team that are 26, 27 yrs old--if i were you i would get involved in a speed camp and do as many football related drills as you can because you have taken some time off and your body will not used to the pounding also the coach should let you play spring ball so that will help a ton before the real season. if you already want to drop 30 lbs then i wouldnt bulk but i would do core lifts and sprints and some long distance---goodluck

I agree. You DEFINATELY want to enroll in the spring and go through spring ball with the team, because if you walk on in the fall, your chances of actually making the 55 man travelling squat is slim to none, because of the mental preperation- shemes, formations, etc etc. Do yourself a HUGE favor- buy some strength shoes and work out in them religiously. I believe the number is 1800-451-jump.. My 40yd time has dropped tremendously. I would not reccomend long distance running, as the game is played by short sprints and quickness- the furthest sprint i run is 100 meters.. Good luck bro

Hey legacy thanks for the input would you mind sending me a workout regimen. I would really appreciate it. I know I have over a year to prepare but I can never be to early

Hey man whats going on I play football in college I have some pretty old dudes on my team also, so don't sweat it I play Divivson Three though but that's where you find all the big roid balls because D III really never tests.......so good luck....the coaches can test when they want and the only onther time we get tested is if we make it to the playoffs which we always do.kick some ass
