Any amateur boxers out there? I've got an Army bout coming up...

You do realise that with your weight you would be fighting in the same class as Tyson and Bo.

I love boxing.. I am partial to the lightweight through middleweight classes.

I fought as a super heavyweight, which surprised me. I am only 207! The lighter fighters are generally quicker, but in the heavy classes we were throwing some serious blows. That's why I like the training so much, you've got to have stamina as well as power.

Go to the body a lot. Especially if you two are wearing head gear. Body shots hurt a lot more.

Don't get sloppy. Use proper techniques. Just cause you see an opening don't close your eyes and throw the hay maker. There is a chance you might miss and he can take huge advantage of that.

Lots of advil and tylenol too.

Hey, where were you last week? LOL that is good advice which I'll use next time around. Have you fought before?

Oh man, I ran into that other Officer that I boxed last week, and he is sporting a world class shiner on his left eye! What a great feeling, all the soldiers are eating it up...

Sorry, I saw the post late. TIP #2. STAY AWAY FROM THE BLACK GUYS. DO NOT GET IN THE RING WITH THEM UNLESS YOU ARE A BLACK GUY YOURSELF Sorry if I offend anybody, but they will put you in a world of hurt. They are fast, quick and strong. Most of the Boxing Champs are black guys and the light weights are mostly Mexicans. They are tough and if you don't believe me then ask around. I remember meeting some amatuer russian boxer and he told the same thing.

TIP #3 Work on your quickness. The quicker boxer has a huge advantage. Bruce Lee even talks about the importance of quickness and how important it is to a fighter.

Well, sorry to bust your stereotype theory apart, but I am black, and lost a split decision to a white guy. What about Rocky Marciano, Jack Dempsey and others?

I think more blacks have been drawn to pro boxing lately, but I don't agree with the stereotype.

You barely lost and I think this was your first fight. Was it his first fight? I saw black guys who just started and they come in and bust up some white guys who had a lot more experience than them. Of course I don't mean all blacks guys but I will definitely say most of them seem to be more gifted when it comes to boxing and sports in general. At least the ones that I saw.

Unlees you look like Denzel Washington or something, I'm going to leave the good looking part out. :D

If we fight again, I'll whip him. It was my first time in the ring and I know I'll get better.

I've been told I look like OJ.

Please don't cut my throat. I'm too young and pretty to die.

:D You don't want all the women in the world comitting suicide, do you?

Note to everybody: Don't mess with anybody that looks like O.J.
