another pointless "damn its slow" question

A 555-mile, 5-hour plane trip was flown at two speeds. For the first part of the trip, the average speed was 105 mph. Then the tailwind picked up, and the remainder of the trip was flown at an average speed of 115 mph. For how long did the plane fly at each speed?

How long did it take to accelerate from 105 to 115mph, assuming it was a steady acceleration or was it gusty tailwinds during acceleration?

Hell, i dunno.

then an answer can not be ascertained, only a range can be accurately derived.
For a simple equation, it can be assumed that the speed changes were instantaneous to give the 'roundabout' answer, which is the best answer unless one were to know the speed of the winds.

THen just a matter of writing the equation which Im too lazy to do.
I had a pilot friend that could this question in his head, with those speeds its got to be like a small airplane and knots would be better than mph.
Last time we flew, we flew all over Puget Sound, doing touchdowns, going for lunch on the other side.
Dang, I want a flying car now
