Let me explain why he'll never be allowed on.

drsketch made a thread that was not allowed. I gave him a small infraction and deleted the thread, and told him not to do that again.

he replied by telling me to basically fuck off.

then he made about 8 more threads of the exact same kind.
okay. timeout for a week.

then he made an alter and made more threads.
okay, banned for 2 weeks.

then he made another alter and made more threads.
then it was my turn to say fuck off, and when i say it, it's permanent.

so forget about drsketch coming back.

I am not quite sure what me being married to him has to do with the fact. Can you explain a little bit better so as though I can have a chance to express my opinion on your concerns...Thank you!

Stilleto is the person the ombudsmen will be dealing with . There will be no ombudsmen in the training,woman,or aas forums. These forums have nothing to do with the ombudsmen and will be run the same way they have been run for almost 2 years now.

Over time I have had many people question whether I am able to perform the tasks I have been given. If I would be far, if I would do a good job, if I would make a good mod of aas, if i would make a good leader and on and non and on. Now I have never been with out my flaws but I can say with all honesty that I think I have don a great job with every task I have been given.

I have always been fair with every one and honest with everyone as well. I take my job very serious. Its not a game to me or a power trip.

If angel is chosen to be an ombudsmen she will get no favor from me and I am sure I will get non from here. That's what I would expect of her. I know its what stellito will expect from her also.

But no matter. The ombudsmen can talk to any of the mods. Not just me. For the most part it will be stellito that will be dealing with them on a day to day bases. So really its stellito that I will be talking with not angel or any other ombudsmen. For the most part any way.

This also stops any "well mom did not give me what I want so I will go ask dad"

Here's another example.

You're an ER doc and your husband comes wheeled into the ER in critical condition - who is the first doctor not considered to take the case? You.

Why? An emotional connection to the patient could cloud one's judgement.

It's a gray area.

It's like Obama's former advsior acting as a McCain/Palin advisor.

It's not that you are not capable, it is that you are married to a moderator, the same would go for the spouse of other moderator as well.

there were lots of great women to choose from. some are already mods and others already have been one (hi velvett.)
some are more active than others, or here more regularly, so we tried to choose women who are here a lot and can speak up for themselves and the rest of the members.

also, i will mostly be the one dealing with them, so even though I get along with most people just fine, i wouldn't nominate someone who can't form a coherent thought. (hi foxxie!)

It's not a matter of wanting (or liking)someone - it is a matter of disclosure as many newer members don't know that Angel is Needto's wife.

People should know the facts before they make their choices.

Either way if doesn't effect me personally.

i think most people know. if they know they want to vote for her, they probably know who her husband is.
the other nominees though- we don't know who they are dating, e-dating, married to, or do for a living. we just know what they are like as a member, and that seems to be enough info.

I'm not endorsing or not endorsing anyone of course. all of them would be great, but everyone is going to have a first choice, hopefully.

And the PM circuit knows who every member is currently attached to - whether or not they get the actual facts right has never stopped the information from flowing before.

Being an ombudsman isn't a power position, it's a middleman. All one of us would get to do is listen to complaints and voice them.

Just so you know, I took the initiative and talked to digg once when he banned you - in my opinion - unfairly, because I thought he misunderstood a comment of yours.

Seriously I was not aware that I was even up for nomination for this. Thank you for the offer. I think that everyone here knows that I am married to needto, if you would like me to change my title from super kvnt to Mrs. Needto I will so as though everyone will know.Secondly I am here an aweful lot, I know how things go around here. I do not take sides purely due to my husband being a mod, in fact I have stood up many times to him and also back when digger was with us to point out facts that members should not have been banned or timed out. I am strong voiced, opinionated, and have no fear in letting what I think or feel be known.
As stated previously if I were to be the ombudsman I would really have no part in dealing with my husband (who incase anyone missed is a MODERATOR)..I would deal with stilleto as she is the chat boards super duper elite mod. Members would express those concerns to me, and I would express them on to stilleto. Obviously I would not sit back and be all chill because my husband is a moderator. His moderatorness should have no barrings on what I am capable of doing.That in my opinion is poopla and a lot of it.
As far as the whole Obama bin ladin people working for McCain that makes no sense. It would more a lot more sense if I were currently a moderator. However I have never been a moderator, I am my own person, I am not Needto. Kinda like today how it was announced that the state of alaskas biggest paper is now backing Obama..Well picture Needto as Palin and me the newspaper..I do not have to take the same side as him, nor do I have to have the same opinion as him..

Well whatever, cause like I have a nice term paper to create tonight and I am still trying to write it. The joys! I guess Stilleto totally hit the nail on the head when she stated that if you don't want to vote for a certain person than it is as simple as not voting for that person!
 
Maybe I'm missunderstanding somewhere, but I didn't think the ombudsman brought the complaint to stilleto, but brought it to the mod board, and the moderator in question - That was what Rick had originally said.. It seems to defeat the purpose to have two middle men (as stilleto would then have to go to the mod in question, etc etc).

Any carification on that?

That sounds the most logical to me. Like I said I know nothing about this all, my name was just thrown up there...Shit you think having a moderator for a husband I might have known something..

I think it is to bring the message to the mod board and be part of the mod board so as though it will assist in cutting down the mod and admin pm's and also the alter amounts from timed out members that feel the need to justify. I think after the mods have reviewed it then there will be some sort of decision..
Therefor if I am merely posting on a mod board the complaints from another member than I am still not seeing the point as to why needto being a moderator is still an issue.Then again I know nothing

Did Ricks thread on the matter that was first put out there end up deleted? It is not showing in my subscribed list. I never payed much attention to it as I went in to lend support to the male choice that I think should get the position..Thanks

well, i'll be overseeing the ombudspeople. I'll get some clarification as to how it will work- if you'll talk to me directly or just to the mod board in general. I'm one mod though- and rick trusts me to use discretion and hopefully good judgement, so if the issue in question is another moderator or a chat problem, the ombudsperson should certainly come to me.
they are always free to go to another mod though- if they don't feel comfortable talking to me about it.

Not that I know much besides the price of eggs, however I think that it should be between you and needto as you two are the supity dupity moderators. Exucutive whatnots. Not that I am stating that lower moderators are not good enough or anything like that. However, whatever...You get the point right?
Maybe split it between you and neeto such as which area of the site goes to which mod. For instance you take chat, bts, politics, women,and other related areas and needto take aas, and whatever else there is on this board that relates to that stuff. Just a thought?

I don't think that I agree with that. Say for instance you came to me with an issue that you have with stilleto. Well if I were to take it to Needto that would kind of bypass the original party and also not notify stilleto of something that she may or may not have done wrong. Also could lead to more he said/ she said crap that is not needed..better to go to the direct source.
 
They will have access to the mod board. for god sakes. They will rep for the members the best they can with what they are given to do so.
