I really should have clarified, although I did afterwards. I was attempting to communicate a general sentiment, not an exact wording. I was also doing so while trying to book a flight for this weekend

Anything is fine. As a general rule though I can't help but think an offer or gesture is in line given that they have seen each other a couple of times. Even a friend offers a "if there is anything I can do."

But really, I would offer even if it weren't someone I was interested in romantically.

INMHO I don't think you should even consider dating a girl seriously so soon. Especially feeling how you are about your ex right now. I know you are a strong man, but it is easy to just get another girlfriend to try to replace your ex. (the transition girlfriend)

You are in a great place in your life, so enjoy every moment of it. I am about 5 yrs older than you. And, let me tell you it is alot different when ALL your friends are married and you are too old to let 20yr old chicks lick your ass. You still have your friends, hot chicks, and fun things to do.

So, my advice. Don't even think of getting serious yet. Keep working out, making money, hanging w/your friends, and BANGING CHICKS. (so I can read about it)
