Amphetamine (Adderall/Dexedrine) VS ECA Stack ?

Exactly  (people dont realize this)
almost as much as people dont realize how beneficial the increase in dopaminergic transmission in your prefrontal and frontal cortex is when adderrall is used for other reasons also.

addarell is probably the most prescribed one, although it is prescribed for attention deficit disorders, and not weight loss or an appetite suppressor
and also for narcoleptic as well as narcoleptic + cataplectic patients.

Doctors hardly prescribe amphetamines anymore due to the high addiction rate. There's no way in hell you'll ever see a script for methamphetamine especially! I don't even think they produce it for medical use anymore; at least not in the USA.

Well I don't know about all doctors but I don't think addiction is main reason for not prescribing. It has been the fad lately to push these new "non-stimulant" ADD drugs like Strattera (which is probably the drug CandianCute was refering to begining with the letter S). I think the biggest problem with amphetamines, is the rapid tolerance build up. They eventually poop-out once your receptors get burned out.

The brand name pharmacuetical for Methamphetamine is Desoxyn in the US. It is still in production and legal with a prescription.

Ya I've read about desoxyn. Ever heard of anybody being prescribed it? One article I read about it said most docs have never even heard of it.

You're right. I've noticed many doctors tend to first prescribe drugs that reps are selling and are "hot" on the market (ever wonder where they get all those Viagra and Zoloft pens?). Doctors are humans so are capable of ignorance and laziness like the rest of us. But I don't want to get too into that right now lol.

But yes, I have heard of Desoxyn being prescribed. My doctor has prescribed it before for narcolepsy patient(s). I don't think he does much lately as there are some newer, more fitting substances for treatment. He's pretty cool and one of the better informed doctors I've seen. He's been the only doctor knowledgeable enough to cut through the BS and prescribe me Xyrem (GHB) which has been a great help. Which is pretty cool because now he has had great success using it with other patients.

hey what is he giving people for narcolepsy/cataplexy? (I think you meant that instead of just narcolepsy)

I know provigil works by another mechanism (hypocretin/orexin cortical activation) and that it is also prescribed, but I see mostly patients who have scripts for both.

Yes I meant both. Like you've noticed often Provigial is prescribed and I've heard him talk about the prov/deso combo. He has lately been prescribing Xyrem for narcolepsy (it's first indication) and it he says it's done wonders. Although I do not have either narcolepsy or cataplexy. I only know these details through conversation with the doctor. I introduced him to Xyrem and enjoy discussing about different uses and treatments.
