Hey Ladies!


Here is the site my husband set up so I can track my progress:

Just thought I would give anyone who is interested an update on the progress...Cannot wait until April 1st, and I think neither can my students and my husband!!!! They can certainly tell when it is a LOW carb day :). I tried two "mock" contest preps to water deplete to see what would work for contest day. Unfortunately, neither seemed to work for my body. I also tried a carb load that didn't seem to fill me out either ...so both plans left me a bit baffled as to what I should do to prepare for April 1. However, really great news is...I met a trainer who is a bodybuilder herself and has trained several others and has an OUTSTANDING record. She will help me with posing and my diet...really looking forward to it. I must say this contest prep takes up more time than anything I have EVER done...even training for a marathon...there is just not enough time in the day to cook all of this food, eat all of it and then clean up the tuperware..teach...clean the house...and finally work out!!!! But..I keep telling myself IT WILL BE WORTH IT....RIGHT? Thanks again for everyone's support and good luck to all preparing for their BIG DAY!!!!

Hey girl! Well sorry the test carb deplete / up didn't work. I'll be interested to see what your new person recommends.

Your pix look great! EVERYTHING is coming in so nicely -- posing looks fantastic! Lat spread looking sharper, quads fantastic, delts very nice! Don't know if at what point in the pose the photos were taken, but side chest, keep your back shoulder down a bit so it doesn't go above parallel w/ your front shoulder and be sure to show your pec cuts rotating more from the waist than the shoulders. But really very happy for you!

And YES its worth it!

And YES it will be the most training you've ever done -- bodybuilding prep is 24/7.

The only supps she's taking now is ALA, and lots of food. She may end up using a diuretic, because it's proving tough to shed water. Last year she cut for her 30th bday and did a few fat burners, but this year she proved that it's all about diet. She is very sensitive to that stuff, Trex for example, makes her psychotic! So to protect our marriage, she's not messing with it this time! Ended up working better. Go figure..

The funny thing is that so many women worry more about supps than diet and training. I just watched someone take boat loads of "supps" to cut for a show. Ended up fucking up her health and getting less results than she would have naturallY! People just want shortcuts I guess. Not in our house!!! I can't tell you guys how proud I am of HT, her dedication to this sport has amazed everyone were close to.....
 
i have never cut water...i do vit c and b starting wed...and cut all sodium on friday..stopping water at 6pm friday night. i used dr joe (great fro the natural athelete) and hes known for getting natties in top shape peak week.

I'm GLAD you found this woman to help you, that's great ! I'm curious, has she added any other tips about getting the abs to pop?

Have some f'ing patience bro! She actually worked a 17 hour day today, so this thread is not much of a priority! I just got back from snowmobiling all day and need to wind down. So I'll reply on her behalf.

She is not competing in a natural show, but that was not our preference. We wanted to do an INBF (natural) show, but the dates didn't fit her schedule. This show just happened to be after her spring break, so the last week is when she's off. Otherwise, she can only do a Summer show. We also were kind of teaming up with a friend and doing this show together. But she made some really stupid choices and screwed herself up, and had to drop out. (No need to emaborate on that)

As far as her staying clean, it's tough because she's a slow grower. She has a gift at beaing able to stay lean, but putting on muscle is tough. She's eating 3k calories a day and has not gained any weight! If I stuck her in the ass, she'd have another 10lbs of muscle! Thats not going to happen though. One junkie in the house is enough!

Our main worry is that this show has a lot of competitors from the Peoria area, which is a college town and has many juiced out girls. A few we know of are some big chicks. I have no respect for them though because they take some serious shit and some serious short cuts. So we hope to beat them on conditioning and posing.

DBT, why are you showing so much interest in a womens thread? Are you doing research for your wife or something? I ask because you have really no history in the womens forums. Most on this board try to help out when they reply to these threads. Maybe I'm reading this wrong????
 
I actually just remembered, we left out a supplement that works very well for Hoteach. She is taking Purcee. The stuff is magical with her. We have tried three other brands of Ethyl Ester, and none work like Purcee. I'm not just trying to plug AF products either, it's the real deal for her. I personally don't respond well to it, but she sure does! Both of her previous trainers were totally against Creatine with how lean she is, and both could not believe how she reacts to this brand.

Ok, gotta eat and crash, it's 4AM !

Hey!

sorry it has taken me so long to get back on. I am in charge of this very large dance at school and have been at school until midnight everynight! However, the dance is finally tonight, so it will be behind me. Can't wait to go to the Arnold and have some FUN!!! Get some inspiration to keep going through this competition thing. Thanks so much gain for everyone's support, especially Sassy and Bunny :)..I am lucky to have met you! Sassy...hope to see you next weekend at the Arnold....Bunny hope to see you at the show :). I am meeting with my new trainer tomorrow am, will let you guys know what she says :). Thanks again!

Awwww man I was suppose to go to the Arnold :( I just want to say I went at least once. Maybenext year. I already told Mr. B to clear his calendar for April 1st ...

Nope...the wine didn't seem to work either, which is weird because before this ultra clean diet, wine used to make me a veiny beast. Genetically, I am VERY vascular. When I drink a cup of coffee they EXPLODE! So...hopefully tomorrow I will get LOTS of answers. A little nervous about what the last three weeks will be like. My old trainer suggested I cut all salt and eat all boiled foods. TheFridyn cut ALL starchy carbs for two weeks before show, then no water starting Thursday, just sips on Thursday and Friday and day of the show....since the other dehydrations methods didn't work. What do you guys think of that plan? There are SOOOO many opinions on what to do precontest....my biggest fear is all of this hard work and I come in looking flat and stringy and like an anorexic up on stage in comparison to everyone else. I have been carb cycling like Sassy suggested and I have seen a difference. I look MUCH fuller even after one day of high carbs...Question for Sassy or anyone who might know....and Sassy please excuse me if you already told me this. When counting carbs, should I count the carbsin my veggies? (When I go low carb, I eat ALOT of spinach, asparagus, and green beans to make up for the cals...also I switch to salmon and steak like you suggested to get in the fats. But on let's say a low carb day of 50 carbs....do I count the veggie carbs? or only yam and oatmeal?

For purposes of carb cycling I only worry about the complex carbs. The rest primarily keep me "regular". I doubt they ever total over 30 g / day anyway. Its the starchy ones that fill you out. So when you are talking the different carb amounts for purposes of carb cycle - generally the veggies are the same every day - its just the complex carbs that change -- so just look at the those & count the veggies as part of the rest of the calories.

Met with the new trainer today. Lots of fun with posing. I just got my routine and will start practicing asap! She increased my cals again with more red meat and yams. She even wants me to eat a cheat meal tonight! This of course SCARES me to death...have not eaten anything off of the diet sonce DEcember 26th! We are going to take a look at my body on a "week by week" basis. So happy to have met her, I feel MUCH better now about coming in full. Sassy, thanks again so much for all of your support these past couple of weeks! I will stop by and see you next weekend!
