SUCKS!!!

I've gotten this latest malady for the last two months. I feel it constantly. I never had it before now. YUCK. It is pretty nasty to feel like vomit is constantly in your esophagus.

Anyone else get this?

does it work if I just put the vingar in salad dressing and eat it over a salad or do I have to swallow it by itself?

yet again another thing my wife got from pregnancy and sadly never went away. she takes Pepsid AC Complete ALL the time. we need to buy stock in them things. fuggers are expensive but they do work.

you're not going to get "that" much if you put it on a salad. Before you go to bed, take a tablespoon.........if it doesnt' work that well take 2-3 the next day. I'm not sure how much to tell you to take because I don't get pregnant obviously, so I don't know the physiological differences between what you have and the rest of us have. It could be being pregnant makes things more difficult to cure.......who knows. But the vinegar thing is old school for sure.........but the new pills they have out there have been found to reduce your ability to absorb calcium later on in life, bringing on osteoperosis (sp?). So I'll stick with the home remedy.

Yeah, I'll try that if the tums and gum stop working. Right now I feel good again. =-)

What pills do that? Link?

I take Prilosec OTC probably every other day (to save money) it seems to do the trick pretty well.

I took 3 tums and chewed the gum and it WORKED! :elephant:

I luv you guys.

Lucky. I get it REALLY bad. It's my only pregnancy complaint.
Tums, Rolaids, Zantac ......and so on .... DON'T WORK FOR ME.
While I was at work, I drank a whole ampule of sodium bicarb.
Worked instantly. Since then, I drink a couple of teaspoons of baking soda with water. It tastes bad but it works.

Mine feels like I have a hot poker stuck in my sternum with the occasional bout of needing to vomit fire.

Yep. Never had anything like this. Had heartburn but this is WAY worse. I guess I shouldn't complain if it is my only pregnancy complaint.

My first trimester, I had gas so bad that I would double over in pain. Second trimester was sciatica so bad I couldn't walk. This last trimester I have really bad menstrual like cramping (probably contractions) and acid reflux. Then, there is the water retention that means that none of my shoes fit.

It's always something when you are pregnant...lol.

If you only knew... for you it will pass as soon as the baby is born. For me, it will most likely be my demise.

Well, stilleto, BM and myway, it is nasty as heck. I feel for you ladies. I have never had that in my life until now. I hope it goes away after the baby is out.

Yes. Im on a round of Prilosec right now. It's important to not let it get out of control because it can cause dangerous damage. Mine started at 31 and I've had it intermittently since that time, but lately it's been pretty bad.

I grew up literally thinking that rolaids were candy. Been suffering with BAD reflux (not just the acid but food backing up too) since I was old enough to remember. It's very bad now and as I said, will most likely be what takes me out. I am thinking it will most likely be pretty ghastly to go like that. But hey, I also hear that it is fairly quick. Can't live without and esophagus...
