About to finish first cycle

Hey guys
About to finish up my first cycle in 3 weeks.
I'm on TRT of 125 'mg test cyp a week.
For my cycle it's been bumped up to 450 a week (2x225)

Now I've read alot about how to proceed after the cycle, in terms of cutting.
Some are saying that after the last shot to not cut back too much on calories while my body is "recovering"
Am I really recovering though ? since I will be droppin back to my TRT dose , there isn't he issue of "if" my levels will recover.

What I though about doing is this
For weeks 11 and 12 of my cycle start reducing calories, and take advantage of the high metabolism the gear gives me, and try to lose some of the weight, then after my last shot, decrease intensity of the weights, and increase cardio

Does this sound at all ok?
If not I'd be happy to be educated. Lol

I would run that route bud, I am in a similar boat with you as im just running test and am lowering the calories but keeping clean protein coming in to recover at the end of my cycle while the 2 weeks after my last pin are in effect. Just making sure that I take in just the right amount to keep the muscle that I have on as you know just havin muscle on your body burns calories. Kind of balance it but at the end of the cycle slacking off on the diet is a Huge no no as you want to finish strong. My 2 cents (in a nut shell: slowly lower but don't go hard)

i just wanna make sure i do it right, wanna keep the muscle and lose the fat as well.

i`ve been lucky though my cycle, i`ve actually been able to do the one thing thats very hard to do, i`ve put on some size, while burning off some fat too

Wondering something else today...

I know in regular cycles, 12 weeks is the norm
But with my being on TRT , would it matter if I extended it to 14 weeks?
If I'm still making progress?

Or just give it up, enjoy what I've gained. Cause there's always next time
 
i dont think extending it 2 more weeks would hurt...
as far as the lifting goes, one should always seek progression, then when progress either slows noticably, or you reach your goals a deload is warranted... you can either take a week or two off, or just lower the weights and start to work back up again... ive done it both ways...
what did your bloodwork leave your test levels at on the trt dose? its a lower end dose, so when the cycle ends you might want to find that out... depending on how much you gain, it may or may not be enough to keep your size up...
ive been on 200mg self-trt for only 2 months now, will be going in for bloodwork this week... if my levels are super high i will probably drop down to 150/wk and then see where that leaves me in another 2 months...
up your protein a bit if you drop your carbs... i will probably never attempt to get as lean as i was in my avi again... i salute you guys on low carbs, that shit aint for me...
 
I believe that even if on HRT, you should do a PCT after a cycle.

The reason is that the HRT just puts you at a normal/high healthy level. When coming off, that dosage is actually a little less effective. Getting natty levels up (even if you don't get them back to normal) is still a good thing. Plus, there's also cortisol, estrogen, prolactin and LH issues.

I also think that's not the best time to cut. Stabilize for a few weeks, then you can cut with better results and less catabolism.
 
Definitely dont cut just as a cycle ends. probably not as big a deal if you are on trt but still let your body get used to that weight. keep lifting heavy and then slowly try to lose the fat.
