A.S. stunt growth?

On what level do steroids stunt growth. I have read about how after using them ones natural growth is hindered. Since men do not stop growing untill 27 is it a bad idea to juice before then.

Or is natural growth only hindered after several large cycles?
Is there some steroids that have a greater effect on this then others?

I belive that it is actually the increased estrogen that causes the bones to stop growing...which makes sense because bones have estrogen receptors. So yes, taking steroids prior to the point when your bones stop growing may stunt your growth a bit...not in height though...most people's long bones stop growing around 20 or so...

Oxandrolone is used to increase height in undersized people. Bulldog is correct in saying that estrogen is what makes the bones stop growing as it closes the ephysis(sp), thats why girls stop growing at younger age than boys.

How prevelant is it? For example a 21 year old fucks up a cycle under does the anti ests. every one else in his family is over 6 foot and he is like 5-10. Not to metion his shoulder have'nt expanded out yet. doomed?

Whats up with this Oxandrolone? is it a legal drug or a steroid I have to research?

thanx.

oxandrolone is anavar. And yes, if you don't feel like your body is fully developed, I'd stay away from the juice. You don't wanna have an underdeveloped frame...even if you get big from the juice, you just may not like your overall look.

Well some men grows until they're 21-22 but those are some rare case. I'm 18yo and 5 foot 4-5 since I'm 13yo... My growth plate are closed since then I guess (never got it tested though). It makes sense since I looked older at this time, and still look a lot older. My natural test level got pretty high when I was 12-13-14yo. So in my case, I'm physically "older" than many other 18yo guys. It means as well that I'm more "gear-ready" than all those 18yo punks.

Growing taller and growing wider are two different things. Yes, your long bones may have stopped growing a while ago...but I doubt your skeletal system is fully developed yet, as far as shoulder width, wrist width, etc. are concerned.

Don't go believing that anti-e's are going to stop you from stunting bone growth while using AAS. I've read that Nolvadex is likely to stunt growth much more than aromatizing AAS. First of all it decreases IGF-1, and second it is an estrogen in itself. Likewise clomid is also an estrogen, so using that post cycle could possibly affect your bone growth.

People over-quote that study on underdeveloped boys and anavar. Those kids had genetic disorders where they weren't producing enough testosterone normally. They also give testosterone to kids with the same problem, and they grow faster. But their final heights still aren't normal, and even if they were, this info doesn't exactly apply to most kids who have normal growth patterns.

Don't go fooling yourself if you're not finished growing and you think using non-aromatizing AAS is the answer. There is more involved in the fusing of the epiphyseal growth plates than just estrogen. Even if you're 18-19 you still probably have some bone maturation to go through, even if it's not vertical growth. You should know that stunted growth is still a possibility if you're under 25.

Now I started using AAS at 19, but I knew what I was getting myself into, and I have only myself to blame if I in fact stunted my growth. I definitely should've waited because I didn't have any problem growing naturally, I just wanted a shortcut.
