A good read - steve goggins workout log

Thanks for the link, cool stuff. Some of those numbers with bands and chains are pretty crazy.

I've seen him in PLUSA mag, usually with a ton of weight on his back, but don't know much about him so I read the bio on his website.

After reading this, I'm really starting to like this guy:

I love animals, especially small dogs...When I have time I also like to play John Madden Football on PlayStation 2.

Great looking journal, and obviously effective for size and strength. No BS, thats for certain.

So many people overcomplicate training. Even in the strength community, things are made so much more complex than they need to be with all sorts of bullshit exercises and crackpot theories.....just look at the top guys in the strength world....their routines, like Goggins', are void of nonsense and 'fluff'.

It's sad but the only people reading this, and appreciating it for what it is, are the ones who already get it.. and that makes up maybe 0.1% of the posters on elite.

Whenever training advice is given outside this forum (and unfortunately sometimes on it) again and again I see arnold or weider referenced, talk about pec decs being superior to bench pressing, 6 day splits with hours of cardio on top, high reps for size and all that other bullshit

it seems that in over a month of training he has only 2 workouts that include some sort of row or pulldown. It seems like a lot of the top powerlifters are like that.

even though I am powerlifting focused, i dont really plan on going that route. then again, i probably wont become the WPO champion either :P.
