5,25/12,5 mcg t3 long period?

yea mcg = micrograms
one tabb is 25mcg right
1/4 tabb is 5,25 mcg
og was a typo, and was supposed to be... or
yea that's right.
I'll ask again.. how long would you consider use 5,25 OR 12,5 mcg (that is a low dose) ed? this is for promoting protein synthesis...
anyone?

I think this is a very interesting question posited by thom, and one I've researched on this board before. I've read on this board that 12.5 mcg is an effective way to increase your level of T3 production and, ostensibly, avoid most of the advese side effects that result from taking higher doses of T3. Nordstrom and Fonz have summarily addressed this issue, but BUMP to a more detailed discussion from the experts on here.

While dieting most people have low T3 levels due to slowed peripheral T4-T3 conversion.

Now TSH is what signals the thyroid to produce T3 and T4.

TSH in the blood is normally in the 0.8-5.5 Range.

Anything < 0.8, and you're hypothyroidic(very little amounts of T3 an T4 in your sustem) and anyhting > 5.5 and you're hyper-thyroidic(lots of T3 and T4 in the blood)

Anyways, adding 12.5mcgs/day of T3 to your daily drug regimen will put your T3 levels to the upper normal range which is where you want them to be. And, your TSH will float around 1.5-2.5, therfore you're not being suppressed to any great extent, so you avoid any tyype of Post-T3 fat rebound.

I have proved this with blood tests and it works. Some people can get away with 25mcgs/day, but for all intensive purposes the safest recommended dosage that can be used safely for 8-12 weeks is 12.5mcgs/day.

fonz thanks for the reply, how would you does a low dose of T-3 12.5 mcg? once a day or split doses?

Once a day in the morning.

bump for anyone who has been on it for more than 12 weeks.

i used to know this guy who actually ran it 6months (5,25mcg). He had no probs with his thyroid after this.
