let me get this straight, so keep ur hear rate at certain # for 45 min, so does not matter how fast, level u do on the machine, as long as the rate is steady at certain rate, so 220-29= 191, so 191 x 80% = 152.8 beats per minute.

this is all according to this site
http://www.weightlossforall.com/tar...rate%20zone.htm

that is what I do, it works

you can do little intervals, 2 mins at 75%, 2 mins at 83-85%... repeat for 45min

i will try that on monday with only 40 min cuz that's the only time i have for cardio in the morning :)

There is really no basis to this. Ideally you build up to as long as you have time for. And the average per-minute ratio of fat loss goes up the longer you go. I'd get it up to 90 minutes if you have that much time (but it looks like you don't).

I've bneen reading to try and find the most effective fat burning route for me. My typical routine now to lose fat is I lift weights 4 days a week and then do cardio for at least 45 minutes if not an hour on the eliptical trainer, and add one more cardio day. I don't do any cardio after legs FYI and my diet is fine, changing over from bulking to cutting. How does this look to you fat burning vets out there?

sounds like me, it will work, provided your diet is in check.

if you do cardio after lifting, have your PWO shake AFTER you finish the cardio, not before it
