Most of us were all new and one time or another. I thought it would be fun to list the supplement that most ripped us off. When I got into lifting again in 2002 I did the normal newbie thing got a mag and believed the before and after pictures. I got taken by multiple bottles of cyto something by Cytogenix maker of exenadrene(SP) 80.00 a pop for 3 or 4 months till I realized the adds are lies. Bodybuild . puke recently emailed me some shit about pink magic form somewhere. Said order before its all out. I check back often to make sure they are always in stock with that rip off.

So hey what's yours?

i remember a thing i bought 15 yrs ago ,,,called cybergenics....all in one supps , training program,,,in a box ..lol..bout 15 pills a day...marketed as bein strong as aas ,and average gains 14lbs in 6 weeks,,,of course gained f££k all..

I think Cybergenics was the most successful scam of all time.

Met Rx is close -- though it wasn't as bad, it was touted as a miracle when in fact, it was just some mediocre, shitty tasting protein. It put Hot Stuff out of business and I think with all IT'S hype, it may have been a better product.

I remember seeing Syvester Stallone in Rocky 3 or 4 and when I saw him I was like what WTF!! I wanna look like him! ( I didnt know he was only 5'5") I had heard he was drinking Met-rx so I bought loads and drank loads of the stuff. I got all the recipes for it which only made them make more money off of me because it took me longer to get sick of it. It was actually legit stuff realy made for aids patients to stop them from wasting away. But I got taken in for sure. I think the inventer was a Dr Conolly and a guy named Bill Phillips (musclemedia 2000) got to marketing it to bodybuilders before he went out on his own and formes EAS.

That was a marketing ploy. Any protein drink can be said to prevent wasting. (Actually GEAR would be ideal for that).

Connely was an anesthesiologst. What's that have to do muscle building? Phillips was a marketing genius. He took a very common thing and sold it as a great innovation and it worked.

And now that its out, I NEVER liked taco 8 and never endorsed it. I just kept my mouth shut about it. Now that PP is no longer a sponsor I can say -- it's just vitamin E. A $29 bottle of Vitamin E. That's dicey.

Stallone is 5'5"?!! I think more like 5' 8" or 5'9" I believe.
