The BEATLES Remastered 2009

So your telling me Nsync writes their own music? Another note whens the last time you seen a Nsync member play a musical instrument? Hand one of them a gretsch guitar and tell them to play any of the beatles songs while singing. The rooftop session is a killer dvd to buy to watch. Just the look on everyones faces when the beatles start jamming is priceless. I like The Beatles a lot always have.

what tracks are on it? love the beatles

All of them. They remastered the entire catalogue top to bottom. You can buy them individually but the whole thing cost $200.

The earlier stuff is much punchier and sounds almost "punk-like" since it's so raw. But Revolver sounds amazing. There's some debate as to whether the stereo or mono versions are better. I think Rubber Soul sounds better in Mono but Sgt Pepper MUST be in stereo.

People also forget what great players they were, especially McCartney.

they were certainly the best, the first, the most intensely mass-marketed, media blitz, money generating boy band.

I honestly don't get the "boy band" reference, other than they were writing incredible music in their early 20's.

I think of a boy band as something manufactured by a record company. Find a bunch of cute guys who can sing (if not, they'll just use pitch correction or lip syncing). Teach them some dance steps. Buy some songs for them, hire studio musicians, make some videos and market them until the fad dies. (Usually within a year of two). To compare that to the Beatles is like comparing Britney Spears to Iron Maiden.

nelson, have you noticed the beatles quality (or lack thereof) in their live recordings? they sound like hammered dog shiot...their studio mixers made them sound good on vinyl.

i've always thought lennon & mccartney were much better song writers than singers. harrison was adequate...let's not even shame star by mentioning his live performance or song writing abilities..

Beg to differ bro. Even in those early recording with shit sound systems, they sound pretty balls on. In that video, on a rooftop with modest equipment, where Lennon was disgusted and strung out, they still sound great. I also think Lennon and McCartney had two of the greatest voices you'll ever hear. So what can I say? We couldn't be more apart on this.
