yeah man it looks really good.
my dad and i have been waiting for this movie. finally, something novel and new. i thought watchmen would be that novelty but it was too whatever. this movie is going to deliver.
im waiting for gi joe reviews. sienna miller, channing tatum, and whatever wayans brother are in it. thats a bad omen right there.

I'm undecided on GI Joe as well, but looking forward to District 9 when it releases here.
Me = always gets advanced screening tickets when movies premier/screen in Chicago.
GI Joe is actually supposed to be a good amount of fun.
But yeah, this movie will pwn you. My only experience to Halo was playing the original game, but apparently the dude that made this (Neill Bloomkamp) was supposed to make Halo for Peter Jackson. When financing for that fell through, they said go make this instead.
When I heard the original tagline, something along the line of: "Aliens have landed, now they just wanna go home". I thought, what a hilarious concept, I don't think it's ever been done before. Now the spin is drama-fi, me confused.
OT-I'm very afraid for Avatar. It's getting the same hype before release as Cameron's Titanic. Thank god it's Cameron's genre, though.

Yeah, I got faith in Cameron. Truth be told he hasnt really made a "bad" movie. Abyss is the bees knees. But yeah, people are hyping that shit up like theres no tomorrow.
God District 9 was awesome. I dont think Ive ever seen more people explode in any movie ever made.

Didn't Rambo only kill a few people in his first 3 movies? Then in the most recent one they put him on a kill spree. I think in the original he only killed one person.

Finally got to see this last night with the missus. It was fucking awesome. A plus for the aliens actually looking real instead of like shit in Avatar & for shit loads of gore.
No shit. Considering it was only made for $30mil, its amazing how photoreal those nuggas looked.
All CGI too...no animatronics.

holy shit that movie only cost 30 mil? I guess they didn't have to pay any low talent hollywood actors 10's of millions...lol. That movie was one of the most realistic movies ever made in terms of effects. Not overdone with explosions left and right.......it was real clean in that sense. The dudes exploding from the gauss rifle was ridiculously good looking.

While I might not appreciate the severed body parts flying around as much as you I thought the story line was original. Rounding up the aliens was more realistic than say Men in Black live and let live theme. I loved the ending, earth is now screwed. Dad and son will go back to their planet, gather reinforcements, blow the shit out of earth ( huge bloodbath), then repopulate. Sequel = District 10.

I dunno, I wouldn't mind seeing what happens when daddy comes back and there's like 500 of those ships hovering around the globe. I love that fucking sound the ship made when it spooled up it's drives.

i saw this movie for the first time yesterday. totally not what i expected but an awesome unexpected. i liked the story and they actually make you care about the prawns

It was a great movie. They made it on the cheap too. That is what happens when you make movies in 3rd world shit holes like South Africa. You can pay people with drugs and a handful of rice and they will work all day.
