Screw you all, I want a response...

yeah, but keep your legs straight (but not locked) so it isolates your lower back and runs down into your hamstrings.

I am NOT a fan of good mornings as I feel they could do more harm than good.

Hypers should only be executed with the strictest form, NEVER go beyond paralell - ie straightened body.

Yes. GMs are a great substitute for hypers. The hyper bench in my gym has been "missing" and I've been doing high(er) rep sets of GMs instead. Like mrplunky, I prefer to do these with "soft" knees.

Well..... If your torso breaks parallel from flexion at the knee you are fine. In fact you are nailing your hams in a good way by doing this. Think GHR on a hyper bench with a short range of motion :)

Good Mornings are a prestigious exercise...as long as you watch your form.

So no heavy triples with bent knees?

The owner of my old gym would do triples with 500+ pounds with a chain suspended giant cambered bar. He could DL over 700 pounds too. We called him "Beast" lol j/k

define "bent knees" I think it's good form to have a very slight bend when doing good mornings as opposed to the straight leg version. I would never go below five reps with good mornings...it's an exercise that needs to be performed with care.

A quarter squat with a flat back.
