It's a peptide that tells your body to produce more melanin. That's about it. You have more melanin. Freckles show up more. Any moles that you may have will be more noticeable. You won't lose fat with it- at least not like we're used to with diet and eca or anything. The tan looks normal, but you will get darker than you ever thought you could. I got some comments because I was very very dark. I used it like this: normal loading phase of about 10-20 mg, maintenence with 2-3 .5 mg shots per week. I rode my bike out in the sun every couple days and I used about 20 tanning sessions. This was all during prep for a contest. I, while naturally a very fair skinned person, was among the darkest competitors in the show, finally.

You do get the nighttime boners like crazy, your dick does get extra dark for some reason. And, the tan lasts for much longer than normal. I quit both tanning and taking melanotan2 after the contest oct. 25th 2008. I was still noticeably tan (I live in Iowa and it was winter!) for 6-8 weeks after stopping- till nearly the end of the year. Funny enough, areas that didn't see a lot of sun normally stayed tan the longest, while areas like the face and arms faded the quickest. My ass is still darker than my arms 6 months later!

Ok so, just to get this straight about dosing, how many 10mg vials would I need to propery do the loading and maintenance phases for a good run, three?

Lol! Guys, I think it gives you boners (after injection anyhow) because it just increases blood flow- same way (kinda) that Viagra does it. You can get "flushed" and kinda warm feeling the first few injections.

I bought a 50 mg kit (5 x 10 mg vials) for $135 shipped, but that source isn't shipping to the us now all of a sudden. Sucks. But, I will load .5 mg per day for 20 days (1 x 10 mg vial) and then take .5-1.0 mg per week thereafter to maintain. So, the first vial lasts you the better part of a month and then each vial lasts about 2 months. So, the way I'm using it (lightly as I'm not competing this year, not trying to turn another ethnicity this time!) my kit will last the rest of the season and into the late fall-early winter. And, in Iowa, I'm not going to put myself through injections to look tan in winter. I got the cheaper Chinese stuff and it's been just fine imo. All the best!

Again, I want to caution about the freckles/moles etc. They do show up with this stuff! I haven't had them terrible, but I do have a mole on my nose that I never saw before. No-one else seems to notice, but stuff like that does show up and it never went away.

Wow, thats cheap. I don't want to get super, super dark, so I will use less and build up slowly. So, are you saying the dosing schedule you descibe is the one that got you super dark? How are you going to use it now?

Yeah, it was the best deal I could find. It's typically about $185 for that set up other places, not too hard to find. I think the schedule I used to get dark for my contest was .5 mg ed for 30 days, then 1.5 mg per week split up however I got around to it. I did 23 tanning sessions over a couple months and people were (friends anyway) asking if I'd joined some road construction crew or something. I was dark as fuck! The schedule described above is how I'm going to use it now just to get and stay tan for this year.

I hope this isn't against the rules, but this is a site that talks a lot about and has some research on it melanotan.org They've been around a long time and have lots of people's "logs" to show different experiences, the ins and outs etc. It's pretty interesting. If I shouldn't have posted the link, please remove. But, I don't think it should be a conflict as they don't sell anything there- though some use it as a place to sell.
