I been on the hunt on craigs list for a piece of cardio equipment for a.m cardio. I have small apartment so I don't have room for something big. I was thinking a shwinn style spin bike or maybe something like the gazelle or even a manual folding treadmill, or even a small eleptical like the orbit. Who owns or has owned any of the following? Thoughts opnions please

a cheap treadmill would suck harder than frisky on a bottle of Jagermeister. Get some kettlebells.

LOL thanks but I am looking for cardio only contest prep is fast approaching so I want something at home so I can't be making up reason why I ain't getting all my cardio in. What about a stationary bike?

Jnevin and redsamurai I have the attention 5 year that just had shot of espresso I so could not do those games I would be bored fast plus. I don't see them as real cardio. I do want the Wii fit but just for fun.

you could hire me.. now I will wake you up every morning ... fixy you breakfast and see to it that you do your cardio..problem solved... oh btw this position comes with friends with benefitss

I don't have experience with the specific types of home cardio equipment you're looking for, but I do have versions of all three and have some food for thought for you:

Treadmill might create a major noise issue (thumping) for your neighbors unless you're in the ground floor apartment. From my own experience, I found a treadmill to be harder on your feet and ankles than walking outside so save your money there.

I have a recumbent bike, not a spin bike. Easy to move, doesn't take up outrageous amounts of space as long as you can crank up the resistance you can get a pretty good burn going.

IMO the best cardio is an elliptical but do NOT get a low quality elliptical, first, it's less ergonomic and second, you'll destroy it in no time flat with regular use. Mine has a magnatronic back wheel (or whatever they called it). It has a big footprint and is a bit of a bear to move but despite being realatively old (6 years) it's still going strong.
