Spine fucked PICS

oh I've had a few not so good experiences with MD's. A couple surgeons I'm not too fond of. Drugs and surgery. That's what MD's know. Slap a band-aid and move on for the most part. Paid on how many pt's they see, so they gotta get through them fast, ya know?

I've seen a few good chiros. Chiros, in me experience are more healthy and concerned with health and fitness than MD's. An MD will say (like Shirl said), "lifting free weights is dangerous." but a chiro will spot you on the bench. One chiro I went to was a CSCS, and a former scholarship athlete. It was due to an injury that was made better by a chiro that he decided that was the path he wanted to pursue.

Almost the same story with the chiro I see now. He was lifting doing OHP when he tweaked something in his C-spine and couldn't move his arm, couldn't turn his head the next day. He had a severely herniated disc that was putting pressure on his spinal cord. Doctors wanted to get him right into surgery of course. He saw a chiro and after one visit felt much better, with far less pain and greater mobility. After a couple months he was back to normal, lifting again. That's what swayed him to become a chiro. Both of these guys treat several pro athletes (NFL, NBA, etc.) as well.

Orthopedic surgeons want to do surgery. How else are they going to heal you? The only other trick they have is muscle relaxers and or pain killers.

In my opinion, there is no way a muscle relaxing pill is going to relax your muscles as well as proper massage or chiropractic or physical therapy. ( I think of all three as pretty much equivalent).

I've been to good orthopedists who will refer to chiropractors or physical therapists.
If they won't, then don't trust them.

And if you have been to physical therapists and to chiropractors, you will probably wonder, as I do, how one gets more respect from the medical community than the other.

My physical therapists I had when I snapped my left femur in half were awesome and very good at what they do. Actually inspired me to start school in for it...
