Spine fucked PICS

Chiropractors usually makes things worse glad to hear yours did a good job but you should really go to an orthopedic doctor and see what he recommends I can guarantee he will say stay away from chiropractors

this is actually very true.

a good chiropractor sees you a couple times then cuts you loose. seeing one frequently is just him using you to make his kids college payments in most cases.. JMHO but also based on the research i've done

they make the bulk of their money off accident victims and clean house through the person at faults auto insurance company.. for athletes who have issues the chiropractor isn't necessarily a good choice, same goes for massage therapists who actually cause muscles to TIGHTEN up, not loosen up. massage therapists are nice to go to once in a while but don't make it a habit if you are a lifter as they can make problems worse

Inversion table for sure :)

everyone on here who lives at the gym should invest in one of these. a starter table is under 200 bucks and it is tremendous at stretching out our bodies to de-compress everything. no excuse for not atleast buying a starter table and using it 2-3X per day

Yea we can get them prescribed to us in the army if we see a specialist typically a chiropractor can prescribe us one they don't like to but...it can be done. I need to get one for sure!! Steve you sound like you own one :p

I don't agree with all the Chiropractor hate. I've had some good experiences, and some really bad experiences with them. At best, they have high tech equipment and techniques and will do very much of the same types of therapy as a physical therapist. At worst, they give you BS stories about how messed up you are, and try to get you to sign long term contracts to suck you dry.

I have also never heard anything bad about massage. I guess I'll have to read up on it, but myofacial release is a pretty accepted therapy. I hardly ever get massages, but use a good massage chair at work and use a foam roller mainly for my middle and upper back, and find it really helps loosen me up, reduces numbness in my hands, and keeps me from getting tight during the night so I wake up feeling much looser.

I totally agree with the benefits of inversion. I hang upside down like grandpa munster all the time.

yup to anyone interested just go on amazon and there are plenty for under 200 bucks. good starter tables.. once you get the hang of things (no pun intended) you can always invest in a more expensive one later on.

you can also use it to do ab exercises and such

chiropractors are actually similar to dentists in my experience unlike medical docs.. for the MOST PART they care about you and want you to see them as little as possible. dentists we have all experienced who have hammered us on flossing and brushing not because they want our teeth to have issues so we will go back but because they want our teeth to NOT have issues. which is my point which if a dentist or a chiro is seeing you frequently then that is a major red flag. they both should see you on occasion.. (ideally for a dentist twice a year knock on wood just for cleanings)

with massage therapists when you get deep tissue massages that can actually cause injuries, and cause your muscles to TIGHTEN UP, not loosen up. again as a lifter specifically you want to be careful not to cause more compression and tightness which massage therapists can actually cause.. it just depends on who you go to. if you have a tendon issue for example and she massages it then it can actually delay healing, you want to leave the tendon alone to heal and not bother it, same goes for a torn muscle which some would recommend massaging to reduce swelling.. but that will only delay recovery believe it or not.

I agree completely. I have a friend who's a chiropractor and he agreed that the ones that want your $$ will just keep wanting to see you. Him on the other hand, he wants to "cure" the problem and hope that you don't come back. Maybe it's a fault of his, because he doesnt make a whole lot of money lol.

All I know guys is IM going in once a week , paying 80 a month. I feel great every time I get adjusted. It sure as hell beats paying 20$ a pill every time I get a migraine. My posture is way better I just feel overall better. Whether it works or not idk, but it sure as hell helped me

That sounds totally believable to me. It sounds like you found a good guy and good price so stick with it. I know that my body obviously tightens up sometimes, and some kind of relief is needed.

If you go to a chiro or PT or masseuse, and your joints are popping and you feel things loosening up and blood flow increasing and tingling where you didn't even know you had numbness, then you know something good is happening.
