Well in most social circles expect elite of course LOL most would opt to kill one to save 5.

No lets paint the picture a tad different there is no second track instead there is a bridge with a large fat man on it. You can reach up push him on to the track and kill him or you can kill the 5 workers. What would you do? And why?

Imagine yourself in a trolley car going down a track with 5 rail workers in front of you. The break on the trolley malfunctions you can't stop the trolley it going to crash into 5 people and kill them. But wait there is a second track with only one worked and you can pull the lever to jump to the track with the one worker on it which will kill just him.

What do you do it's a split second choice make it and provide reason for your answer.

Leave it on the path its already on.. Who am I to choice life or death of another.

A decent amount of people have died on the train tracks here in Carlsbad, right in the touristy part of downtown, a block from the beach over the years. The cops were laying napkins and beach towels over body parts one time while people on beach cruisers and in-line skate did circles around them.

A Marine in SOI with my company a few years ago was walking with a group of other Marines in Oceanside and was hit by a ladder hanging off the side of the train. Can't remember if that idiot ever died or not.

Yeah, the only trains we have around here are the sprinter which goes from the Oceanside pier east to Escondido and the Coaster which goes from downtown SD to OC/LA along the coastline. Both of them pass thru heavy traffic and foot traffic areas along the beach, so we see an occasional train related death.

Two of us got sent to pick his family up from the LAX and escort them to their room in SD (not sure why the Corps didn't fly them there) where he was staying at Balboa. Odd little drive. Basically an hour of me trying to keep conversation casual and not laugh at how fucking stupid you'd have to be to get drunk and play chicken with a train.

I've ridden the one that takes you to the north county mall, not sure which that is. It fucking hauls ass. Every time I went to SD I used a shuttle or drove, so idk about that one
