SARMs activate the androgen receptors within the muscle, which then creates more nitrogen retention. This makes for a more anabolic environment and leads to muscle and strength gains, and fat loss.

Because there is no androgenic activity outside of the muscle, the side effects associated with steroids are not prevalent with SARMs.
