what was your first job

I was essentially a janitor at a gym, which kicked ass because I got a free membership and could stay after gym close and workout if I wanted

Minimum wage gym instructor / general dogsbody. Easy enough job & virtually 100% disposable income thanks to living with parents at the time.

mine at 16 was a pizza place
first 6 mos I was "up front" making pizzas or cooking them, perhaps running the register
then one night the dining room was a mess
so mgmt sent mike into the dining room
my dumb ass did such a good job
I'd build walls in my bus tray with 16 inch pizza pans and take out the whole dining room
equiped with multiple fresh clean cloths and wipe down the tables proper
well there after I was scheduled dining room, dish washing detail
had to to teach the blacks how it's done

My second job was at thIs place "Classy Coffee"
And I was the dishwasher. (16)
They had a guy with a guitar who could sing some Pearl Jam and stuff like that.
We had three different waters.
One was to rinse, one to wash, and one to disinfect I think.
The rinse water would get murky and hard to see through.
I didn't know a glass was broken and I cut my hand really bad. It wouldn't stop bleeding because I tore it open so bad.
They paid me for my time I missed.
It was probably like 60-70 dollars, big bucks to me back than.
After that I worked at this very shitty local grocery store.
One day day it started to sleet outside pretty damn hard.
My manager asked me to get the carts, I told him no.
He said I would be fired, I told him to have fun because I knew there was no one else.
That was the end of that job.

15 in the summer stacking hay. Hay cuts are miserable when you're sweating in the sun...
The rest of the year and in the summer I worked with peeps horses that had behavioral problems..dressage ponies mostly. That was awesome because I did it independently..I got to ride for free and the horses loved me . They usually were just overworked and needed to remember how to be horses again without incessant drilling.

A NFL player lived like 7 houses down from us. He used to pay me, my sis and our neighborhood friend $80 each, $240 total, to do his lawn.

That was baller money for a 13 year old. Best job ever.
