i'd do the pterodactyl with java, ledheads and nan's cocks
My phone is insured.
I might be wrong but I don't think you can insure a verizon iphone.
I have a Verizon iPhone and had it insured up until I shattered my screen. I sent it I to the company. They made me pay a 200 dollar deductible and then sent me a refurbished phone. Bullshit
Hey what EMR do u guys use?
Lol we recently switched from GE's centricity to EPIC.

In the hosp it was Icare and clinic was centricity.
Centricity is whatever came after logician.
Right. We actually rolled a bunch of products under that brand name.
Originally (before me) they bought a system that was used in one (yes, one) hospital in the entire world. It was basically a custom-written installation that GE mistakenly though was a salable product.
Then after that, we acquired a string of companies. MeciaLogic (Logician) was a great buy -- that was during my time there. We also bought Millbrook Medical Management (TX-based company) which was another good buy. We rolled the RIS and PACS system (which was a train wreck) into the Centricity brand as well as an operating room information system.
So truth be told, Centricity was a "dog's breakfast" of best-of-breed systems. I don't know how integrated they are now, but the upstream product manager (friend of mine) is one of the brightest, most pragmatic people I've every known.
We whatever version we had was pretty dated. Wouldn't talk to icare, had to sign copies of notes once they got into centricity that I had already signed in icare. Bad templates. Ours was an EMR but not doing much to speed up efficiency.
double entry (bad/missing interfaces) + bad templates = death for an EMR
I'm personally skeptical of how we are doing EMR implementation anyway. Hospitals and Dr's offices are sucking them up right and left, but they all have radically different data models.
I should be able to hand my NextGen-based doctor's office a USB drive on my keyring and offload my personal medical record. Then, if I present in an ER 1,000 miles away, I should be able to hand them my drive and them upload me into Cerner, McKesson, IDX, etc. etc. Then when the episode is over, I should be able to update my drive and take it back to my Dr.'s office to upload the updated information.
The right answer would be to harmonize at least some aspects of the data models used and *then* push for mass adoption across hospitals and dr's offices. EMR's clearly have local benefits as well, but we're really missing big picture if we don't focus on portability from the start.
If Steve Jobs had got into EMR technology, these features would be ancient history by now.

Yeah, they tried to sell me that insurance for our iphones too. I asked them all what it covered and what the deduct. was and then laughed and told them no way.
Should've taken it to apple and got a new one for free, sucker.
We're starting EPIC in a couple weeks actually.
The inpatient side of epic is solid. Especially in the unit.
I did take it to Apple, first thing I did actually. They told me it would cost them 175.00 to fix it. I figured I would pony up the quarter and get a new phone. I didn't know it would be refurbished until I got it in the mail. Their customer service is obsolete. They rank an 'F' on BBB.
Maybe you shouldn't have acted like a dick to them and you'd have got a free one.![]()
Holy coincidence batman! Where are you located (roughly, if you don't want to specify an exact location)?
And talk about wierd... I ran across GE's sales manager last night at dinner. I asked him about Johns Hopkins (it was a flagship account for us) and he said they were switching to EPIC as well.
The hospital I work at is in Oregon OH.
More or less for folks who are on the go and need to have cpu capability at the palm of their hand. Hence why tablets were created.
Ipads are killer though compared to its competition.
I like apple stuff, love my macair/touch, just get more ability from google phones than the I4 ... my friends I4S is super sweet though.... SIRI "what do I do if I have no money for drugs?" Answer: "neal and open your mouth". Its pretty dope though honestly.
You ballin at Bay Park or St Charles?
WtfffffffffffffffffffffffMy wife dropped her iPhone and shattered the screen. Made an appointment at the genius bar for today. Showed up and the guy took a look at it and told me that since it was physical damage it wasn't covered and cost like $150 to replace the screen. I already figured that and just wanted it fixed so I told him it wasn't a big deal as I understood it was our fault. He tells me he will brb, and comes out with a brand new iPhone and gives it to us free of charge.
Fuck yeah!
