Compare that to how most of the worlds population lives....Being poverty stricken in the United States is like living like a king in many other countries. How good is it to be a woman in Afghanistan, Pakistan or Saudi Arabia? If sharia is so super awesome would you trade places with a gay man in Iran or a woman in Saudi Arabia? I took a class in comparative legal systems as an elective in law school and religious/tribal based systems are the most regressive when it comes to human rights and dignity.

I have been around the world, and have seen TRUE poverty. Along with that info, I have lived in EVERY CORNER OF THE U.S.A. and in every where in between. A.C. , CABLE, AND XBOX is not a gauge of wealth, Shit, next you will say refrigerators and owning a car makes them fortune 500 worthy....
I skimmed your post after clicking the link and seeing it was from the "HERITAGE FOUNDATION'' . That is NOT a credible source of factual information. And most people know that the American poverty level is considered $12,000 a year or less. That is $8,000 more a year than most countries lower class (non-poverty level)
