That being said the U.S govt cannot be happy about the financial changes cause i'll bet alot of american business interests were keen on opening up a potential mkt. Not now. We'll see how fundamentalist they get. Brown browns right, sharia doesn't "necessarily" mean they're gonna be taliban like and flog women who are trying to get to school. The arab spring didn't have those kinds of fundamentalist overtones, did i have any illusions that they were all of a sudden gonna let KFC and Micky D's in through the door and let Greenspan come in and set up their financial infrastructure...hell no. Best we can hope for is that they tone down the rhetoric as long as we leave em alone now.

If I'm not mistaken, that type of law structure basically prohibits womens rights, and makes it legal to beat wives, etc, and prevents abusive husbands from being caught. It also allows for arrest and prosecution (even execution) of Jews, Christians, and any other infidels. I smell a rat.

yet women have had huge parts in the arab uprisings. Something else is going on, it's not traditional "fundamentalist" Islam...look, it may very well be equally as hostile to the west, but I think it's a new guard emerging. Islam is undergoing a transformation and something tells me there's going to be a huge war in the middle east coming up between the old and new. Please god grant whatever politicians are in washington at the time, please grant them the sage wisdom to stay the fuck out of that one. I know there will be alot of little white erections sprouting all over washington when that one goes down but please god keep us out of that one.
