Holding a Girls Purse

Hope errybudy's weekends went well.

just wanted to vent a little bit.

My buddy started dating this girl, and she's fairly attractive.
The only problem is, she keeps answering every question for him, and controlling him.

For example, when I asked him if he was drinking or not, she replied to me that he wasn't.

So, we went up to the bars, and his girlfriend says, "hold my purse", and gives it to him. She went to the restroom, did some talking, then finally came back. My buddy was holding that purse for over a good five minutes.

Was this some kind of test the girl gave him? Or is she just one of those people that really wants to control the person they're dating?

If he's happy this way, i'll let it slide, but I don't want another "Saving Silverman" movie re-inacted in real life here.

Chris, does smurf every make you hold her purse?

LMAO this is so funny. No, I would never ask him to hold my purse like that out in public. That girl sounds like a real bitch.

BUT, we have this thing where when we are shopping together (grocery store, Costco, etc) he won't push the cart and especially if my purse is in the cart - no way Jose. It's so funny to me. I love to tease him about his aversion to cart pushing and purses. IN fact, the other day at Costco, i was pushing the cart, my purse was in the child seat spot and I say ;hey I gotta go pee, here push the cart while I'm gone: and he says ok/ So when I get back, he had moved my purse to the bottom of the cart so no one would see him pushing a cart with a purse in it. I cracked up. He's so cute and funny.

I know Smurf is right. Smurf is always right. I know that my buddy is whipped too. I even joke around with him about it. We all do. But I don't want her trying to turn him against us all. He's been hanging out with us less and less lately....

Then again I don't know this girl and can't see how she acts while asking him to hold her purse.

If I was with any girl and she politely asked me to hold her purse as a matter of convenience while she used a public restroom I would do it np.

It all really depends on the girl. Just because a girl asks you to hold her purse while she uses the restroom does not mean she is dominating you. That sounds like male insecurity. It all depends on the context. Plenty of guys think they are masculine, but real masculinity isn't worried about holding a purse for someone for a couple of minutes.

Now this "particular" girl sounds like she just might be a real bitch speaking for him and taking control of him. In that case he needs to man up to her and if she doesn't like it, ditch her.

Any man that has a problem pushing a cart with a purse in it is a real candy ass imo. It's not cute and funny. It's pathetic and insecure.

the last girl i "dated" asked me to hold her purse at ihop while she put her coat on. i just looked at her and calmly said "no".

she got all flustered and set her purse on the empty bench that was right next to us (what a problem solver!).

later she said "i am kinda pissed at you for not holding my purse for me while i put my coat on"

and isaid "and im kinda pissed thatyou would ask me to do that"

im not dating her anymore, mostly because she was overweight, but partially because she was a fuckin annoying retard
