Bodybuilding cycle timing

Does anyone have information on bodybuilding cycle timing? I presently use the traditional 12 week cycle which results in an 18 weeks prior to starting another cycle. I am wondering if there is another way to optimize results.
I am going to compete (no Mr O here) with people half my age and I need every advantage over the young that I can get.

If you use Test P and Tren A you can do very effective 6-8 week cycles.

Let me clarify. After competition, i will not be ready to cycle for about 4 months. In the remaining 8 months i want to optimize the results an have 2 bulking anf one cutting. Not sure if possible..
