have you tried selegiline for depression?

it may or may not be as effective (it varies) for depression but it will have no negative impact on your libido or sexual performance.

and also has the benefit of decreasing the neuronal damage of ecstacy

This is a side effect that did not go away no matter how long I was on SSRI's. They will desensitise you, not necessarily hurt your labido. Wellbutrin had the opposite effect on me. I was a two pump chump. Also when you come off of SSRI's you will have a hard time maintaining. As far as extacy goes, it operates on the same part of your brain as the zoloft. Zoloft is an SSRI: selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. Extacy works to release as much serotonin as possible, while Zoloft counteracts its effects. I used to fool around with extacy when I was younger and I could take tons of it and it would have no effect due to the SSRI's. If you have a problem with depression, extacy will only make it worse. If you are still fooling around with drugs like extacy, you shouldn't be using aas.

nah, rec drugs and bb drugs go together perfectly. before workouts helps me zero in to the muscle- i love training and this just makes it more enjoyable for me. most of the time its a joint before but anything fits the bill here- take whatever you can get your hands on/think you need. id stay away from zoloft/ gov pills like that. im supposed to take shit like this but i dont- they rob you of your edg- they are designed to make you a 9-5 robot. bb and drugs and this whole awkward life go completely against that---my opinion

Been on Paxil for six years. I think the secret is to figure out the absolute minimum dosage that will keep you from hiding under your bed. I started out at 30 mg ED, kept dropping it over the course of years until today, when I can get by using only 5mg ED.

Another secret: If you know you're gonna get lucky on a certain night, skip the dosage the night before. This will allow a bit of time for the sides to clear out of your system, yet it's not enough time to drop you back into depression. Works like a charm for me.

if you NEED to be taking antidepressants, try wellbutrin or effexor. they are by far the most effective treatments for 85% of depression cases.

I can quit Zoloft but believe since I started 6 months ago my way of dealing with friends and family, how I see things, all has changed! Im in a much better mood all the time! Anyway I wouldnt like to stop it BUT Im going to stop it if my libido dont come back with effexor

Zoloft(sertraline) is still being dispensed just as much, if not more then fluoxetine,paroxetine and citalopram.

It's been proven to be very efficacious in a wide variety of maldaptive disorders. ie.anxiety(GAD),depression,OCD,panic atacks,PMS-depression and any other condition where serotonergic integrity is compromised.

Plus it has slight norepenephrine and dopamine re-uptake actions.

For an SSRI it is one of the few( if any) to improve sleep eficiency.
I can pop this up for anybody interested.

You think that Pfizer is going to put out a shit product? They're top shelf when it comes to pharmaceutical giants. Look at Viagara...still top dog despite all the claims of Lilly's Cialis tossing them out on the curb.

I have used dostinex in the past and made me feel very dizzy!!! I remember taking dostinex and after an houur or so I was in bed. I was taking half a tab of 2,5mg... The worst thing was to take it first thing in the morning....thanks God I didnt work or had classes that time

I was hoping this was one of the benefits I would have but it hasn't happened yet. I even stopped taking stimulants and I still sleep like shit. I always wake up groggy and I'm tired the entire day. So it's back to stimulants. I know it's not good to take them b/c they increase the risk of my anxiety coming back but I don't care.

there's no way to say this with any accuracy. more than likely if one SSRI has negatively affected your libido, the other ones will, too unless dosages are somehow manipulated downward as someone said earlier.

Wellbutrin, however, is not an SSRI and has almost zero incidence of sexual side effects.

i'm not saying that zoloft doesn't work "on paper" and isn't prescribed much. its over-prescribed bigtime. but if you actually talk to the shrinks who dish out the meds, they will tell you what actually works for those in the real world. and many of the best specialists out there will tell you that effexor and wellbutrin blow the competition out of the water as far as effectiveness and have very few sides to boot. this is one topic i have no inhibition about arguing about because people shouldn't waste their time and money on ineffective drugs. it doesn't help someone's depression to realize you've pissed 2 months of time down the crapper as well as an assload of cash and are still the same sorry, sad S.O.B. you were before...

just my opinions.




ps- someone should look up the actual success rates of all anti-depressants. you will be shocked to see how terrible they are. i think i remember seeing celexa, for example, working well in 23% of a study; just 4% higher than sugar pill. what awesome results!!!
