Monday I started rack pulls and thought my belt buckle was digging into my groin/top of my left leg. Well I took the belt off and it was still there. I have two knots about the size of a quarter at the very top of my leg. When I put pressure into my stomach and push with my legs I feel the 'golfballs' in there but there really is no pain, just discomfort. The first knot is almost in my lower ab area at the inside of my leg and the second about 4-5 inches lower. Anyone have any guess's to what this is lol?

when you say the "top of your leg" do you mean on your leg (in the hip/quad muscles), or on the bottom part of your torso (i.e. pubic region/lower abdominal)? I'm guessing you mean the later.

If so, this sounds like a hernia to me. The pain associated with a hernia in early stages is more of an irritating feeling, not sharp pain. It would be noticed more if you had to stand around at a party or something for a long time on your feet.

To my knowledge, a hernia can only be repaired via surgery. Go to a doctor and check it out. They will stick their fingers into your groin/pubic region and ask you to cough. If it jumps out like a frog when you do this, it is likely a hernia. Do not let it get worse.

The good news is that a hernia operation is easy and very effective. I had one about 7 years ago and now lift very heavy with no problems.

If it is in the muscle on your leg, it could be an impact type knot that will simply go away in a couple of weeks. I had something like this on my forearm from Conan's wheel a few weeks ago.

sounds like a hernia, but that usually comes with a good amount of pain?!

actually no. My hernia was rather painless; just more of a discomfort after standing for long periods. If it goes too far it will be very painful; a hernia is a tear or weakness (like a zip lock baggy that has been stretched) in the abdominal wall holding your intestines, ect. back. The bulge/golfballs are likely the intestines poking up against the weakness in that wall.

golfballs?

:( sounds like you have hernia, with the 2 testicles...

make sure their still in ur sack, and if their not seek medical help immediately:alien:

Well it's really low if it's a hernia imo, the low knot is on my leg. If I sit down and put my hand on my thigh it's right at the top of the leg rather than at the stomach wall. I also never noticed any pain at all, just that when I got to warming up I began to notice it.

that does sound a bit low for a hernia. I'd just get it checked out.

DB Cooper,

Get this checked out man. . . .I wish you the best of luck. If is a hernia, it needs to be fixed. You will be up and running in no time.
