Whatever he used I don't believe he ever used really high doses that even your average newbie around here uses. Did you see pics of him when he was 15? Boy was bigger than and more impressive looking than half the guys on here.
 
The exact dosages of the old timers will probably be disputed ad infitum. But one thing is for sure. They all had tiny waists. No clen. NO diuretcs and No anti e's. You can't maintain a 30 inch waist with no bloat at 220 pounds if you're on 2 grams of gear a week.

It's been said a million times before, but here's this week update. Suppossedly Arnold did more than anyone was doing at the time. 50 mgs of d-bol a day and 600 mgs of Primo a week. Whether or not he snuck a few more d-bol in there than he let on , we'll never know. But again. Look at the waist. Look at the definition. Same with Draper, Zane, Chandler, Nubret et al. Those guys had SOLID muscle.


By the way...has anyone seen Lou Ferrigno lately? The dude is like 50 and looks phenominal! Better than any of the Pumping Iron guys, including Arnold.

Yeah but Lou was using all the same drugs/doses as other current pro's when he was competing for the Masters Olympia.

I thought it would be nice to post, because it's the first time you see him sit down and just come clean about it. I thought it was a riot. I give him a lot of respect for that.

Nelson, since I've followed a lot of your advise, I've not only gotten fuller, but leaner as well. My waist has gone back down to where it belongs, and I cut my dose from a gram to 600mg a week, and I still grow like a weed on that. Not to mention theres no bloat to speak of. Since you haven't failed me yet, I was wondering what your opinion is of trying an old Reg park 3 day a week routine? I want to try something new for 8-12 weeks, before spring comes back again.

Glad to hear it bro.

You mean the whole body workout 3 X's a week? I actually write about that in Bottom Line. I think it's great for a change of pace. I especially like it after coming off of a lay off, but you can do it anytime. Think about it. You train each bodypart more often, yet you get more rest. I think it might go stale on you before 12 weeks though. Give it a shot and see.

How is this different from HST?
 
Well, for one thing it was around in the 50's, where HST claims to be late breaking science. Thats a big difference right there, taking credit for something thats not really yours.

Thanks Nelson, I'll have to get Bottom Line this week. I've read BBT so many times, and it's amazing how anyone can down your advice without reading the book. If they just opened their eyes, they would see it's layed right out for them in simple terms. I can't wait to read Bottom Line Bodybuilding.
