Forgetting you've gotten the top of your ear pierced and scratching the itch right where your new ring is = HOLY SHIT!

All in all, an interesting experience and I'm glad I did it, just because I didn't wimp out if nothing else. And I was amazed at the difference between a needle and the gun thing they used when I got my ears done at the mall decades ago. Needles and a clean, professional shop are the only way to go.

As bad as the upper lobe is, the nose is far worse when you forget you've got hardware in there and touch it. When I was 16 and had first gotten it done I squeezed it while squeezing and the backing dug into the septum or whatever it is and the pain was most extraordinary.

Oh I have no doubt (having lobe and cartilage done at the same time, they really were about equal in ouch factor) but it's not for me. Body mods are something that you absolutely do to please yourself and it's never been something I was even vaguely intrigued by

Congrats Musclemom!

I'm still on the fence about whether to get my nipple rings put back in or not. But yes the needle is the way to go so much better for the body than the gun.

Yay! I like piercings. Have had belly button, nose, and nipple. None of them anymore. Nipple was most recent, and only had it for about 6 months or so, and loved it - healed quickly and everything. And then one day the ball came off, rolled away, and I had to take the bar out - and it closed right away . Maybe I'll do it again.
