WTF!!!!! someone has tried to hack my AIM and MSN messenger services

when I went to sign in just before it told me the password wasn't valid (I always use the same simple password for most things, so it is not like I am typing it wrong) so I go to the 'forgot password' bit and it says I have tried to sign in too many times with the wrong password today!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!?????



does someone have to have done it from this computer? or could someone have tried to sign in as me from another one and now it is telling me this?

u probably *did* get hacked.

i have a couple trojan msnmsgr.exe and aim.exe's on my HD if u wanna analyze them.

Basically they take your password and send it to some site. To "really" test your pw -- go to the web and logon manually.

To see ifi t's hacked version click on online help topics. The hacked versions don't display anything. A bug they forgot to fix before sending it out.

Go to the web, change your pw. Re-install ms or aol to replace that exe that's loading up (check properties of your aol it's probably c:\document settings\etc.") when you click the icon.

then get rid of whatever virus installed it on your system.
