Ok, alot of you might know i just posted a thread on having a sterile abcess in my left shoulder. I went to the ER and they put me on Keflex the antibiotic.

Well check this out...i just aspirated in my right glute and what do you think went in the plunger? Some more puss. So im thinking dirty gear because im way to sterile for this BS! I have 3 more weeks in this cycle what do you think i should do? About $600 worth of gear left and i dont know which ones are clean or dirty all Golden Triangle. Let me have some input on this guys.

Thanks!

could you possibly make it sterile by baking it and getting a syringe filter and filtering it? I'm asking everyone else if that is possible because I don't know. Just making a possible suggestion.

If there is no way to sterilize the gear, I myself probably wouldn't risk getting infections everytime I inject. Your health is worth more than $600

That's probally what I would do myself. What gear do you have exactly? I know test will hold up to high enough temps to take care of most bacteria.

Test-E & EQ 10ML bottles GT

Do you swab the top with alcohol before you pu pin through the rubber stopper ?

tryn2,

This is what i do every time i inject..no exceptions.

ALWAYS use a new needle, alcohol swab the bottle and injection site, wash my hands before injection. I further never inject water based and oil based AS in the same shot, rotate sites, and massage to distribute the oil. In other words everything possible to avoid an abcess.

Bro, why did you have to say that? Shit. That's exactly what I have, the GTP test enanthate, 10ml. Now you've made me all worried.

I haven't had any of the symptoms of an abcess, except for my first shot, 5 weeks ago. My delt was all swolen, red and warm. But it went away after about 4-5 days. Haven't had any problems since.

Did you have any symptoms for your glute? You just aspirated and out came puss? So if there are no symptoms, wtf are we supposed to do?

Sure it's not fat?

Genarr,

Positive its not fat..after what i pulled out of my shoulder, about 7cc of puss last week i know exactly what it is. I have done literally hundreds of shots and these are really the first two i have had.

Bruiser,,

I didnt have symptoms for either one. Just be sure to aspirate and if you get anything other than air bubbles or blood take a much closer look.

Maybe its just an area of sterile pus from a prev injection that hasn't been broken down by the body yet.

This may be possible Radar because it was just a little bit of puss followed by blood. Not the pure puss (no blood) that i pulled out of my shoulder last week.

Ok. My gf does all my injects. She has said that it's kinda hard to pull back on the plunger to aspirate, like there's suction. Is this a good sign? I assume that if it's in a vein, then it would pull back blood easily. I don't know about puss. Is it easy or hard to pull back on the plunger with an abcess?

If you aspirate and you get blood im sure you know not to inject at that point. You would pull out, change needles and try again. Its a little harder if you hit puss to pull back depending on the gauge needle you are using. I was using a 23g 1" when i pulled it out of my shoulder and nearly had the plunger pulled back all the way before it started filling up.

Could also just be from the gear not absorbing quick enough. I have had a few of those on cycles where I was pushing a lot of cc's. It has happened a couple times in my glutes. I had to discontinue using glutes for a few weeks to let everything absorb, then everything was back to normal. It seemed to happen more frequently from gear with a high BA content, specifically QV Enan.

Jesus 7cc of puss? bigmk read my thread on what i though was an infection, the doc inserted a needle in my glute and said if he pulls something (I guess he meant puss) he would have to cut my glute to get everything out. He tried to pull but I guess nothing came out with his syrnge, but I'm just wondering, why did he want to cut the glute in order to bring out the puss if it can possible all pulled out with a needle?

I hate UG gear in general, but there are no options when it comes to EQ and FINA I guess.. if possible I always go with Schering, Organon etc.. pricier but so is your health

I have a buddy who ass popped like a zit and puss ran down it. He had to go to the hospital. They put him on all sorts of antibiotics. I think he was using water based stuff. Nasty.
I did a delt shot that got infected. My turned red and heated up. It swelled like an inch or two. Went away after a few days. I hate dirty shit!

Did the abcess in your shoulder improve on the Keflex? With abcesses you will most often be dealing with Staphylococcus aureus and increasingly some of these strains are becoming quite resistant to antibiotics and often intravenous therapy and surgery are the only things that can cure them. You cannont simply drain the abcess with a needle because there is no way to get it all (if the antibiotics dont work). You have to open it up, drain it, remove a thick capsule that is often present, pack it and let it heal from the inside out. Sterile abcess is a possibility but only a culture of the material would prove that. Abcesses suck but the up side is that your immune system has effectively "walled off" the area from the rest of the body and then sometimes only time is needed for it to resorb. If the same infection were to get into a facial plane between muscles, bad bad bad. Have seen amputations necessary due to this. Fortunately uncommon with where most people inject (gluts). No matter how good your sterile technique is remember that people in operating rooms get the same infections. Nothing in life, nothing at all is 100% except that this board rocks!

Thanks for the reply. The keflex does seem to be working on my shoulder the lump is no longer visable. You are correct , the doctor did say if the antibiotics didnt work we will have to slice and dice the area. He did feel at the time however, that i had extracted enough out of the infection to give the keflex a chance instead of opening me up right there. If he would have saw what I pulled out of that sucker there most likely wouldnt have been any questions asked; He definately would have started cutting right away.

I am using 25g 1in.

I guess I am unclear about aspirating properly now. My gf has always just pulled back on the plunger a little bit and said it was hard to pull back, so she never pulled it back much. Just encountered resistance and stopped. No blood, so we thought it was cool to proceed. Are you saying that you pulled the plunger all the way back? Why did you do that?

Wait a minute, you only want to pull back on the plunger "slightly" until you get an air bubble (or maybe a little bit of blood). When I pulled back that far to draw the puss out which was in my shoulder, it was not to aspirate but to withdraw foriegn material (puss).

1/2 cc BA per 10ml. Will sting a little but should rid the mix of bacteria. Read this in Building The Perfect Beast when the discussion covered custom steroid blends.

You may want to check around some more on other boards for more opinions. I would...

PEACE
