I quit my job last week, so now i am cleaning walls and doing all this organizing crap. Not sure how long I can do this, but I am taking a few weeks off from everything.

whew...

I still wake at 6ish out of habit though... I cook nonstop, and clean nonstop.

but woooooooohoooooooo..... my muchkins are going with my sis'n'law in a bit... going swimming... and I will run around the house nekid :heart:
 
somedays i can't find my ass with both hands. . .

somedays i sit around imagining you cooking and cleaning. . .in the buff. . .

this is one of those other days. . .

sub... no job lined up just yet, but a few offers on the table. Not sure if I will go with the work for someone else route or persue some other things I have been looking into.

I was with my employer for 7.5 years with now room for advancement... just kinda stuck and working for a person that had went from a very family man to an asshole. The hardest thing for me to do was walk away, it was very hard. The only time I didn't have a job was when I was in school... so its really weird.

My beau wants me to take the summer off, and enjoy it... I have some things I want to do around the house, and some research thing to look into. I also will do odd and end contract drafting work.

Oh and fiesty.... I did check the email... and nothing so far that caught my eye. I am looking for you though. :)
 
I thought this thread was going to be about Frisky being in a round room trying to find the corner or some shit.
 
when I was off work i was climbing the walls after about 3 weeks. I did love watching the price is right at 11, eating my luch, then taking a afternoon nap till Jeopardy came on at 3. I couldn't hack that for long though.

I remember you saying you wanted a raise last week or so.
How did all that go? Did they offer you more money, beg, get angry, show you the door?

well, I had been requesting a review.... I was not all that happy with my job in quite some time and I just am not the kind of person to demand anything.

After quite a while of going thru this with my boss... I just decided that maybe the best thing for me was to move on. I turned down three really good jobs because I had been with this company so long and was just at a comfort level with them.

So, I decided to go in and give my two weeks notice on thursday, got sick... ended up in the ER for most of the day. I didn't give him much time to offer me more money, well... not after my last time talking to him. I wasn't happy with quite a few things, apparently he wasn't happy with me... so in the end, me walking was the best thing. I thought it was the end of the world at first.... but its not. I have really big boobs and I can shake my ass soo... hell.... I can find a job. LOLOLOL

I'm kidding

but still.... i wasn't happy, and it was time to move on. no hard feelings at all. Its life!

2 weeks notice? damn, things are harsh there.

If I were to quite now, I would have to give 3 months notice, counted from the last day of the month (meaning it could be up to 4 months notice).

It works both ways though, if you get fired, you get the same amount of time.

Colorado is an at will work state which means I could quit today and they would have 48 hrs to pay me any wages owed. Likewise they can fire me without notice or declaration of reason.

personally i took a vacation for 6 months. was mad fun :D came out of it a whole new person :D
 
isnt it funny that when you go in to cmplain or quit a job and you give them the reasons they turn around and tell you that they haveent been happy with your performance either? I hate that shit. Its like a kid being told he has a bad haircut and then that kid turns around and say's "well your legs are short", freegin juvenile.
 
Take the summer off momma... spend time w/your kids and your man. Unless you are needing help from the soupkitchen enjoy this time off with your family.

All the money in the world will not buy back a second of time passed!

I quit a job that paid $25 an hour because they demanded I work 12 hours a day and 6 days a week, my only day off was a Wednesday. I value my family and the time spent. What’s the use in having money if you don’t have time to do anything with it with your family? Time spent with the family is more valuable than any amount of money.

Children dont NEED a lot of "stuff" to be happy. They do need basics, that is true. Love won't clothe or feed or house them but neither will money nourish their souls.

I thought my kids would be freaked out... but it was quite the opposite. I have always provided for them, and spoiled them with things that they didn't need but want. I was the biggest smile on my face when they both told me they were happy that I left, and were happy to have a happy mom back.

I still haven't gone in to fill out what ever paper work they need. However, I will look over every single thing before signing. I have quite a few vacation days owed to me, and I expect to be compensated for them. If my performance was sub par, then I would think it would have been brought to my attention before this came to light. I don't blame the company, nor do I hold a grudge at all... I believe this is something I needed. I am no going to focus on family (which was being slowly taken away from me due to my boss not wanting me to even take off for a sick kid) I wake every morning and make breakfast... today was french toast with sausage and oj... then I whip up lunch and clean clean clean.... Then I make some really kick ass supper's. I LOVE IT!

I get to ride my horses, spend time with my kids... do research on a few things I am looking into... and I don't have a damn person to check in with. If I want a 2hr lunch... gosh damnit......... I take one!

E, I would love to give you and Your crazy hubby a call and run somethings by y'all.

Scotts, hun... I am a food making junkie right now. When ever you are around don't hesitate to call.

I am already planning for supper... not sure what I will do, but it will be good :p
