Shirtless weather is just around the corner, my abs are 3/4 of the way there. . .at 41, I'd say I'm pretty satisfied. Wish that my wheels looked like they used to, but the knees have gone south on me so, I concentrate on back, shoulders, arms and abs.

Right now it's crap - looking forward to be able to get back into the gym....

I've recently come to the realization that I've never, ever, in my entire life, been happy with my body, finding as much flaw with my figure when it was at it's best versus it's worst. How sad is that? To have always looked at yourself and gone, "Damn, if only I were ..." or "Why can't I have ..." or "I hate my ..."

How fucked up is that?!? There's something so wrong with thinking the package you've been put in is not ever good enough ...

Its okay. I am clearly not taking advantage of the good genes I was dealt at birth. I build and retain muscle very easily. I need to get rid of some fat.

I'm determined to change that. With my new schedule (a 15 min commute to work!!), living across the street from my gym and working across the street from a Whole Foods (a great place for when I don't want to cook), there's no excuse for me to not workout hard and eat like shit.

Is a 15 min. commute short for you? I bet it is cause you're in D.C. People don't realize how much time they spend getting to the places they want to. That's why I'd hate to live in a big city. Glad you're taking advantage of it.

Um, it use to 90 to 120 minutes. That's one way. I was commuting to MD (you know where I live). 18 months of that was beyond draining. That, along with other things I was doing (school, work, making jewelry) caused my workouts to suffer.

I use to work with a woman that travelled from Martinsburg, W. VA. People commute to D.C. from Charlottesville. I guess you go where the money is.

This was my first week, I noticed the difference immediately.

It's all relative. It depends on what you have looked like at other times in your life. If you have always been 300 pounds you would love to be 250. If you have always been 160 you would love to be 180 (if you're a guy anyway). I'm 235 and don't like they way I look, but the pre-contest mode I'm about to go into will change that.

Hey NYC! How are you sweetie? I'm doing two shows in July. I'm doing pretty well, trying to keep my head up and stay positive.

That's so totally awesome. I bet you feel like a huge weight has been lifted.

There was a time when I had AN AWESOME and FLAWLESS physique.

Now it is "eh". But oddly enough men prefer me this way: soft and "girly" looking.

I am miserable though... :( Gotta clean up my diet and I will feel 100% better for many reasons.

I have to honestly say though, that if a man does not find me appealing - he need not look and I will be happy just the same. Took me a lifetime to arrive at "this place" but I am sooooooooooooooo happy to be here finally!!!
